Chapter 12

As Serenity woke up the first thing she saw was Jason looking down at her.

"Jason" she whispered.

She watch as Jason's whole face lit up when she said his name.

"Don't ever do that to me again" as he grabbed her and brought her in for a bone crushing hug.

"Umm... ja...ss..oo....n.. ..I.. c.can't b...r..eath... a..t al.ll." She exclaimed as she wiggles herself free from Jason's death grip.

After freeing herself, Serenity tried to sit up on the bed only to experience a sharp pain in her chest.

"Ugghh. That hurts." She exclaimed in pain.

"Take it easy" Jason said as he helped her get into the sitting position.

"Where are we?" serenity asked.

"We are in the wizard realm"

Serenity looked at Jason with a surprised expression.

"The wizard....realm?" she asked. "I thought your kind hated wizards."

"We do but since you were dying I couldn't do anything about it. I almost turned around and left but you started to wheeze so I couldn't leave you."

"So what happened." Serenity questioned. "The last thing I remember was being attacked in the woods by an enchanter."

Jason looked at Serenity with a curious and anxious expression but started to tell her what had happened.

3 minutes later.....

"So you're saying that I my heart stopped beating and then it miraculously started beating when you started to have a panic attack?"

"Yes"

"And you brought me to this healer who caused my heart to stop but still somehow saved me."

"Yea and her name is Meredith."

"Oh ok. So when do I get to meet this Meredith?" Serenity asked.

"Umm right now. Ill go and get her for you so she can check how you're doing."

With that said, Serenity watched Jason walk out of the room and later return with Meredith.

"Hello Serenity" she said. "How are you feeling."

"I'm fine." She responded. "Thank you for saving my life. I owe you big time."

Meredith looked at Serenity sheepishly and muttered a thank you.

Meredith looked to be 2 years younger than her and had beautiful waist length brown hair. Serenity thought as she examined her.

"Well lets see if your fine" Meredith exclaimed.

After a few minutes Meredith was finished examining her.

"Wow. I've never seen anyone or anything recover so fast." Meredith said excitedly.

"You are one special kid."

"Thank you" muttered Serenity.

"Do have anyplace that I can shower? I feel filthy." she asked.

"Oh yes. It down the corridor, to your right. And I have some spare clothes that would probably fit you" Meredith said.

"Oh and if the pains in your chest continue just tell me. I have pain killers and with that she left leaving Jason and Serenity in the room alone.
