Aaron Jones specialized in intimidation, despite being scrawny and generally super bad at the whole serious thing.

Aaron Jones was kinda not great at the whole intimidation thing, just lucky.

"C'mon, why do mob bosses have to be so hard to find?" The challenge was a matter of finding the guy, not so much cementing himself as terrifying and spooky and important.

"Fancy seeing you here, Jones."

Oh, huh, the guy found me.

"It's really not that surprising, I'm kinda in the process of hunting yo-"

Jack Alvarez specialized in being sketchy and doing sketchy things. He took Aaron by the arm and dragged him into a nearby alley.

"Why does this always happen?"

Uncomfortably long alleyway eye-staring.

"Well, you found me."

"Yay!"

"You also found several of my supply routes."

"Oh, yeah, yay to that too."

Aaron was significantly less scared of Jack than he was of most people. Jack was shorter than him, and likely weaker than him. He'd heard stories about the big, scary, murder tentacles.

It'll be fun to see him miss those!

Ooh, I think he's seeing him miss those.

Jack arched his back slightly, before appearing thoroughly confused.

"What did you do?"

"Consciously? Nothing."

"...I do not like you."

"Funny. I was gonna say the same thing, without the accent."

Jack extended a hand, and, again, looked thoroughly confused.

Aaron looked at the hand and gave it a high five.

"That's... not what I had planned for you."

"Well, what did you intend?"

"The plan was to beat you up."

"Usually people move their hands when they do that."

"Usually  when I do that there is a weapon in my hand. Please, why is there no weapon? Do tell."

"I guess you just ain't cool enough to shazam a weapon into your hands."

"I assure you, coolness is not the problem."

Jack's arm pulled back, and Aaron got the memo. In a very short time period, there was a knife between the two. Jack stopped his punch not too far from Aaron, and unfortunately the knife was already at his collarbone. Jack's movements unintentionally brought the blade against himself, and a wide cut revealed itself along his chest.

"Ooh, oh, oh man, I am so, so sorry about that." Aaron winced and sucked in a breath through his teeth.

"I assure you you are not sorry enough."

"Whatcha gonna do, make me sorry? With what."

Jack, again, tried to manifest a weapon to no avail.

"Ya really gotta stop that, Alvarez. It ain't gonna work."

Jack stared Aaron down.

"Listen, I'm here to strike a deal."

Jack's head tilted subtly.

"You siphon off a percentage of your supplies to me, and I won't take all of them. Take it as, say... you give me 25%, and I won't go ahead and get 100% for myself. This is purely outta benevolence."

"What is in it for you? Why not just take the 100 anyways?"

"That's getting kinda tedious. I'd rather just get it, and leave you alone, and you leave me alone."

"...alright. I accept. Just do not try to cut me again."

"Yay."

Aaron turned and exited the alleyway.
