Beth and I decided to stop by where Ruby works and check how things are going and just hang out without the kids for once in a lifetime. "Thank you for making me completely humiliate myself for no reason.",I hear Annie saying walking up to where we are sitting and taking a bite out of some random dudes fry's. "These are cold.",they're not mine." "Ew.",Annie says spitting the fry out. "What do we do now?" Annie ask looking puzzled, "I have no idea.",Ruby says but then stops like she's spotted something. "What is it?" ,"You okay?",the sisters ask.Hm looks like I wasn't the only one to notice Rio has been sitting there,I was hoping they didn't see him but,oh well. "Stay here.",Ruby says before walking off to the table Rio is sitting at.I can see them talking but Ive never been good at reading lips.Annie and Beth are looking at them so intense it looks like they want to jump off their seat and run away. When I see that Rio is about to get up,I walk over there and shoo Ruby away,in the nicest possible way. "Scoot over.",I say to Rio,making the scoot over hand motion. He looks confused for a second but does scoot over to give me room to sit. "You probably already know what I'm gonna say,but anyway,please don't kill them."I say with a tiny pout. "I won't" he says and I look relieved for a second "unless they don't get me my money.",I sigh knowing I'm not going to get the answer I want. "Well,uh,anyway Mateo took his first steps yesterday,you can come see him if you want but you don't have too,no pressure or anything."I say solemnly knowing that he probably won't come,but hey,worth a shot.I get up and leave and the girls follow me out.I don't tell them what he said or how I asked him to come over,because they'd probably get pretty upset and I mean who wants that right?
