I backed into the corner of the room and crouched there, head down, arms folded tightly, ignoring the fact that it was time to go home. The others exchanged glances and walked quietly out of the room, leaving me alone. It's time to go home now; I don't want to go home. The door creaked open, revealing Raven's, my master's, emotionless face.
I resisted him slowly, being careful not to make eye contact. Upon seeing my hesitant actions, Master pressed his back against the wall and put his hand to his forehead. "Do we have to go through this every time, Rain?" he sighed. Master always came late, hoping the battle would be over by the time he arrived, and that I would not try to scream. It was the same cry everyday. But you have to be strong, don't you? "You'll come back tomorrow," he sighed once again, his face empty of expression. He stepped forward and picked me up, flinging me over his shoulder. I was helpless against him as he carried me out the door.
I kicked and screamed all the way out to the car. It seemed not to matter to him whether I fought and screamed. He ignored it and threw me into the back seat, seating himself quietly beside me. Just being near this man made me shake with fear, he may look like a gentleman, but don't let him fool you. This man, my master, is pure evil. He glanced at my trembling hand, grasping it. I quickly shook him off. "Well then. Did you have fun today, Rain?" he asked, his 'Prince Charming' smile activated. "..." Master tried to put his arm around my shoulders, but I scooted away from him. He sighed,"What am I going to do with you?"
Master rolled down the window, letting the cold winter air flow through his black, shaggy hair. He gazed out at the stars in the darkening sky with a saddened look on his face; he longed for something. Or perhaps, someone.
I watched as a tear made it's way down his cheek. Soon after, others followed. I have never seen Master cry, but according to Master Vincent, Master's brother, it's not a wise choice to be around him. As if on cue, Master's head suddenly whipped around; the atmosphere had completely changed. Before I could even blink, he was pinning me down to the seat choking me. Master's tears dripped onto my face as his hands gripped my throat tighter and tighter, making it hard to breathe. After a few seconds, my vision began fading.
