I felt something warm brush my cheek and groaned, slowly opening my tired eyes. "Ah, so you're awake now," said a familiar voice. I kneaded my eyes with my fists and sat up,"Break?" "Yes, my dear?" My eyes grew wide as I practically threw myself at him, "Break, you're back! I missed you so much!" "As of I, Miss Rain. I arrived just this morning and I must say you've grown since the last time I've seen you. You've grown up to be quite a beautiful young lady, if I do say so myself." I blushed lightly. "How old are you now, 14?" "Break, today is my 18th birthday," I giggle.

He quirks an eyebrow,"Oh, is that so?" I nodded excitedly. "Well in that case, I guess I'd better give you your present, huh?" Break took a large, flat, rectangular box from his coat pocket and opened it. I gasped, covering my mouth with my hands,"Break...I-" "What? Too much? If you don't like it I-" "I love it, but... it looks really expensive and I hate to think that you spent all that money on me." "Rain, there's nothing in the world I wouldn't give you, even if it is expensive. You're smile is worth every penny." "Aw, Break." Break smiled shyly, his cheeks dusted a light pink.

I turned my head to look at the time, but before I could read the time, Break's hand touched my neck. I winced from the cold, sudden touch. "Rain, why are there marks around your neck?" I froze instantly.

"I-it's nothing," I say, my voice cracking as I rise from my bed and go out onto the balcony. "Rain, did Raven do this to you?" I shake my head, tears falling onto the railing of the balcony. With my back turned to Break, he has no clue that I'm crying until he turns me around to face him. "Rain, I want nothing more than to help you, but you have to tell me the truth. Did Raven do this to you?" "Yes..." Break's eye turned a different shade of red almost as if blood was pooling inside of it.

"When did this happen?" "Break, it's fine." "No, it's not fine; Raven's behavior is simply unacceptable these days!" Break shouts, his fists clenched. "Break, do calm yourself; you're scaring me." Break closes his eye, taking several deep breaths before apologizing.

After going back inside, I allow Break to fasten the necklace around my neck. "Ah, that looks great on you!" "You really think so, Break?" "Yes, a beautiful necklace for a beautiful young lady," Break smiles. I giggle, childishly slapping his arm. He smiled, "Get dressed and meet me downstairs for tea. We need to talk."
