Haneul was crying again. Namjoon had only just put his son down in the crib before he was wailing once more. At 16-months, he sure had a set of lungs on him. Must have got them from his mother, Namjoon thought to himself. He ran back inside the nursery, tutting at the little boy who's heart was evidently breaking.

"I know, baby." Namjoon said. His voice was loud so his son should have been able to hear him, but the way he was crying not much could be heard. "I know. I miss mummy too." Namjoon started to desperately rock Haneul, hoping and praying that his off-key singing would do something, anything to soothe the emotional toddler. "Please, baby, don't cry. I'm trying my best here. Come on, shush now."

It was at that point, that Namjoon started crying. His tears were much quieter than his son's, but his heart didn't hurt any less. This was only the first month without Haneul's mother, and as far as Namjoon was concerned, he was doing a pretty piss-poor job at parenthood. As he sobbed in the ear of his child, he wondered if he'd ever get through this.
