THWACK!

THWACK!

"Alright, that's the last one", Zach grunted, placing the hammer away. We had just finished pitching the last tent; there were three big ones, enough to fit two people per tent. One was for Jordan and I, another for Zach and Carly, and the last one for Vanessa and Marc.

Right now, it was getting dark. Me and the girls went out to get firewood, and by the time we got back to camp it was COMPLETELY nighttime.

Jordan started the fire, and right now we're making s'mores. I managed to calm down enough to enjoy the sweet treat, but my stomach was still in knots of what could happen.

"Well, I'm stuffed. I think it's time to hit the hay. You guys ready?", Carly asked.

I swallowed nervously. Going to bed? At this time? I was tempted to say no, but the others would probably just force me to go to sleep.

"Yep."

"Yeah."

"Ditto."

"Me too."

"Yeah..."

"Alright, good night everyone", Marc called, putting out the fire. We all said our own good nights, and turned in for the night.

Sighing quietly to myself, I walked into the tent I was sharing with Jordan. I WAS pretty tired, and trying to pull an all-nighter wouldn't help.

Sensing my tenseness, Jordan merely sighed and smiled. "If you want, we could try cuddling.", he suggested while blushing. I blinked at him in shock. Cuddling? I mean, don't get me wrong, that would definitely help me, but why do it in a sleeping bag?

I opened my mouth to say no thanks, but all that came out was, "U-um...sure."

Jordan looked surprised at my response, but he nodded and scooted over in his sleeping bag for me to get in. I lowered myself inside, and it was...kind of nice actually. Being close to Jordan, sharing our body heat, it made me feel safe and warm.

'What was I so worried about?', I thought to myself with a small smile as we started to drift off. 'This is the best camping trip ever. We should do this more often.'

"Good night Kayla", Jordan mumbled, kissing my forehead.

"Good night Jordan", I muttered back, finally drifting off into dreamland.
