Lance's POV
I'm slowly walking down the sidewalk when I hear an obnoxious shout from behind me. I know exactly who it is, Allura, my childhood friend. As the title of a childhood friend would hold, we've been friends, best friends, since forever. We normally walk to school together, but lately she's been sleeping in, so I've been walking without her. Guess she finally woke up a bit on time.
"Meanie, you didn't wait for me!" Allura complained.
I rolled my eyes, "Maybe if you actually woke up on time one of these days then we could walk to school the whole time."
Allura pouted but smile straight after and grabbed my arm, "Hey! Your going to join a club today, aren't you?"
My heart sank. Allura's been trying to get me to join a club for forever now, and I REALLY don't want to. My only real pastimes are reading manga and watching anime.
"If it'll make you happy then sure, I'll join a club."
Allura didn't seem to by it, "Lance, it can't be just some random club, you have to enjoy it!"
I spotted some kids outside of the school standing and chatting. We walked passed them and up the stairs to the front doors. I held the door open for Allura.
"That's why my first stop was going to be the anime club. If you're so desperate for me to join a club then I've only got one to try out. Anyways, I'll see you in class."
Before she could say anything else I walked away to class. The last thing that I wanted was a lecture of what clubs to join from Allura. The anime club will be my first stop, but other than that I'm not going anywhere else. Before I knew it the day was done, no one was in the classroom when I zoned back in, but Allura was there.
"Hey, Lance!"
I accidentally jumped from being a bit scared that she was in here, "What are you doing in here?"
"Well..." she trailed off a bit, almost like she was going to not say why she was here, "I was hoping that maybe you could do a big favor for me?"
I groaned, "Why is it that I always have to bail you out of everything?"
She didn't say anything, only rubbed her arms and looked away. I sighed and asked what she needed. She perked up a bit and explain her dilemma.
"Well, you see, the club that I'm in is really small. And I told them that I was going to bring in someone, and one of them made cupcakes, and I didn't ask anyone to come so now there's cupcakes and people expecting me to bring someone that won't come so can you please come today with me so they don't get mad at me?"
I only caught half of what she was telling me. Allura's in the literature club, which is why we haven't been walking home together. Personally, a literature club would be the last thing that I would join, especially it being a new club. I didn't say anything for a while, but decided, the hell with it, and agreed to come along.
Allura started jumping up and down and hugging me, I playfully shoved her off and we began walking up to the club room. This section was normally used for 3rd years, so I haven't been here a lot. Allura grabbed my arm and pulled me into one of the classrooms.
Standing there were two girls. One had really long blond hair and purple looking eyes. She was really tall and looked like she was a 3rd year. The other girl was really short in comparison, meaning that she was probably a first year. She had short, brownish gold hair and practically gold eyes that were hidden by a pair of glasses.
"Really? You brought another boy?" the short one was complaining.
"Pidge, don't be mean," the tall girl warned.
