(Not much Klance but lots if angst)
Lance's POV
"Um, I feel like Nyma could use my help more than anything. Besides, you make a lot of cupcakes already, Pidge, I'd just get in your way."
Pidge crossed her arms and looked away from me, clearly angry at my choice. It's not that I don't like Pidge, I just figured that spending some time with Nyma would be fun. Speaking of Nyma, she was smiling softly at me, but I could tell by her popping her hip out that she was showing off that I picked her.
"But Keith, if you or Allura ever need any help with anything, let me know. Since Allura and I live next to each other I could be a lot of help."
The frown that had formed on Keith's face disappeared, "Oh! Alright! Well, that should do it for today guys. Remember that the festival is in two days, so have a poem ready to read to everyone by then, OK?"
Pidge smiled, "Yay! I can't wait for the festival! There's going to be so much food!"
"It'll be fun," Nyma smiled.
"Yeah!" I agreed.
We all went our separate ways and got our things. I walked over to Nyma as she was about to walk out the door.
"Hey Nyma? Do you want to come over to my house tomorrow so we can work? Or would you rather me come over to yours?"
Nyma turned around with a small smile, "I think your house would be better. Do you think you can get a few supplies before then though?"
I nodded and walked out with her. We exchanged numbers so she could tell me what to get and we went our separate ways. It felt lonely walking by myself again. Before when Allura was in club I got use to the feeling, but now it's back and worse than ever. I still couldn't believe that Allura left without me. I knew I should've walked her home early, I should have been there for her.
I shook my head, if I go to her now it'll make things worse. I have to let her be until tomorrow. Before Nyma comes over I'll go see how she's doing. Until then, I have to get the house ready for Nyma.

The sun glared through the window as I ate my breakfast. I sighed and looked out the small kitchen window to see Allura's house. I had planned on going over there after breakfast. Nyma would be coming over in two hours or so, which should give me enough time to talk to Allura. As I stood up to put the cereal bowl away I continued to look outside. This kind of morning reminded me of Allura's first poem. How she woke up and ate her own breakfast before going to school that day. Would she even be up when I got over there?
After cleaning and putting away the bowl I walked upstairs to get out of my pajamas and into something worthy of going outside. Afterwords, I raced down the steps and walked outside. The sun was blazing down but a cool wind was blowing steadily. A comfortable day that seemed to be eerily perfect.
I walked through the white gate that surrounded Allura's house and up the two stairs that lead to her door. I knocked on the door and entered. I've been in this house so many times that they allowed me to just come in whenever. I called out Allura's name but no one answered. I continued to walk through the house and up the flight of stair that lead to the bedrooms. If Allura was still asleep then I could wake her up and cook her some breakfast. It wouldn't be the first time that I've done it.
As I walked through the hallway something didn't feel right. It was like a wave of guilt was spreading over me. Crashing and clawing its way all over my body. Every step that I took was taking all of my energy from me. Like the house was pulling me away from Allura's door, warning me that I shouldn't open it. I knocked and called her name again. My heart tightened and my stomach wished that it could empty the cereal I had onto the floor. There was no answer to my call. I waited a second before opening the door.
