After the cockroach incident, we decided to move to a different and bigger room. We ended up on a higher level with a dirty/cleaner room than the first one. There was a mini-fridge with expired food and the only channel we could watch on the TV, was tbs. You had to stand up in the shower that had freezing cold water. The sink water was yellow, and the mirror had rusty sides with a crack running across of it. The toilet was small and it reeked of bleach. There was 1 small bed that we all had to squeeze into prevent one of us from falling off."Well at least there aren't any cockroaches in this one." Mom smiled warmly, holding a can of expired condensed milk in front of the fridge.
Fiona rolled her eyes, plopping onto the bed, which fell onto the floor once the legs broke. Her mouth fell open as I chuckled to myself, leaning against the peeled walls.
"This is so embarrassing." She shook her head, closing her eyes. I looked at mom who sighed sadly, putting the expired item back into the fridge. She rubbed her forehead, placing her hand on her hip.
I sat next to Fiona, hitting her shoulder, "What the hell is wrong with you?" I frowned as she looked up at me in confusion.
"What?" She said in a whiny tone. I rolled my eyes, nodding to my frustrated mom in the corner.
"Can't you see that mom is doing her best to keep a roof over our heads and keep us happy?" Her gaze fell to mom who was now getting up to go to the bathroom.
"You're not making this any better by complaining, so stop!" I snapped, walking over to my suitcase to grab a pair of matching pink pajamas.
"I don't know why I listen to you sometimes, you're supposed to listen to me, not the other way around." She said staring up at the ceiling, already in her pajamas.
I smiled, putting my hair up into a messy bun, placing my head onto the end of the bed, waiting for mom. She soon came out of the bathroom and kissed both of our heads, climbing into bed.
Fiona shut off the light, but I still stayed awake. I couldn't sleep. Not without my sleeping pills, which were sent out to the pharmacy earlier in today to be refilled. I would get nightmares about Brandon, and the car accident...which made me pee while sleeping.
Cold air hit my cheeks, then my entire face, then my body. I shivered, clutching the thin blanket onto my body tightly. The lamp turned on and I looked up to see my mom looking down at me in worry. "Come up 'n sleep with me, girl." She whispered, careful not to wake Fiona.
She hugged me tightly, burying her face into the back of me head. I heard her breathing slow down into soft sighs, and I smiled to myself, drifting off into a long peaceful dream.

I woke up to the smell of heavy perfume and cucumber scented lotion. I stretched my arms and looked over and saw Fiona in a baby blue dress, combing her long hair. "Oh fuck. What time is it?" I asked, rushing to the bathroom.
"7:15"
I sighed. We only had an hour until our school started. Mom left early for her first day at her new job. A bartender. I know it sounded all but good, but they payed really good money, which is obviously what we needed.
After brushing my teeth, I grab my soap and strawberry shampoo, and went into the bathroom to take a shower. Once I was finished, I picked out a white and light yellow knitted sweater, with white folded jeans and white vans.
I brushed my hair, but somehow it managed to stay soft and wavy. I put a light layer of mascara and pink chapstick. "If you don't hurry up, we're gonna be late, and I'm leaving you here!" Fiona yelled, opening the door. I grabbed my backpack and we both hurried down the stairs, not before getting trail mix and apple juice from the vending machine. Luckily, it wasn't expired.
We walked to the bus stop since we were a little too embarrassed of being picked up at a old looking Motel. When we arrived, there were a bunch of kids roaming the sidewalks, some inpaticular running.
Oh, why you ask?
Because the bus is supposed to get here in 15 seconds, and it always drives past this stop, only to stop at the next one. Everyone starts running to the next stop as we here the bus come down the road. "Fiona C'mon!" I shouted, pleading her off the bench, following the other kids.
There were alot of students on this large bus, and unfortunately, Fiona and I had to sit in the front. Where everyone watched us, and our every move. Everything we did, they saw. Everything we said, they heard. So we didn't say a thing the entire ride there.
We reached the school and it was crowded. Too crowded. Unbelievably crowded. "Who the hell thought if was a good idea to run a school full of such disobedient kids?" Fiona scoffed as we watched a boy climb the flagpole.
"Many disobedient kids." I added. I stepped closer to her as a boy in a snap back, chewing gum flicked it tongue at me.
"Welcome to Brighton High, ladies." A deep voice said into my ear, causing me to flinch so hard, that I almost hit my head onto the pole beside me. "AKA, Hell." He smirked.
"Uh...hello?" She looked up at the tall boy, who looked much older to be in highschool. He smirked, looking her up and down.
Oh, I see.
"Hi, I'm Faye," I smiled putting out my hand for him to shake. He shook my hand as his gaze fell to Fiona continously. "I'm Chris."
He took her hand in his, and kissed her knuckles, winking at her flirtatiously. "What's yours, beautiful?" She blushed, looking away before mumbling her name. Chris chuckled and continued to lead us towards the school, which was surround by a bunch of delinquents. "Where are you pretty girls from?" He asked as a group of girls waved at him as we passed their table.
"We're from Cambridge." Fiona said, her eyes taking a close look at Chris's bum. I chuckled, nudging her with my elbow.
"Oh? That tiny town right outside of Utah?" We nodded, stopping for a moment to let a boy on his skateboard skate right past us. "Cute. If you're going to be here, I might as well let you in on the Top 10 Brighton High Rules."
"Yeah, I'm pretty sure they're similar to the ones at out school." Fiona said twirling her finger in her hair.
"No," He turned around, smirking. "I'm talking about THE Brighton High rules. The ones the students make, specifically the seniors."
"Well that sounds like fun!" I chirped, clapping my hands.
Fiona rolled her eyes as Chris looked at her in adoration, biting his lip, looking back at me. "Oh, it's more than fun,"
"It's Spectacular!" He pushed the double doors open with both hands.
As soon as those doors opened, Brighton High showed it's true colors.
Chaos. Total, Chaos.
