On a bright Sunday morning, Junkai walked down the stairs with a smile. He ran into the kitchen to prepare breakfast. He took a stool and climbed on it so he could reach the top cupboard where Guanhai hid the cereal.
He took it, placed it on the table and got four bowls.
Qian Xi then walked in with a sour expression. He eyed his brother with a frown.
The eldest noticed his presence and turned around with a smile. "Good morning Qian Xi!"
"Mornings are never good." He yawned and sat on the chair. "Where's Yuan Yuan? Isn't he always the first one awake?"
"Maybe he slept in. Aren't you happy to see me though?!" Exclaimed Junkai, desperately as he poured the cereal into four bowls.
"No, fuck you." Grumbled Qian Xi before continuing to sleep on the table.
The eldest rolled his eyes. He poured the milk into the last two bowls before he took four spoons and sat it on the table.
He then took a seat next to Qian Xi and waited for his father and other brother. Bored out of his mind, he turned to the youngest.
"Qian Xi, I'm surprised to see you up so early." He asked.
The younger grumbled in return. "Daddy says I need to start waking up early since I'm going to join your school soon. Yuan Yuan has to repeat another year of kindergarten for some dumbass reason."
Junkai looked confused. "Aren't you and Yuan in the same class though? You should know what reason it is."
"I do know. I said it was a dumbass reason, so it's a dumbass reason."
The elder gave up talking to him.
The two of them sat in silence for a few minutes before starting to get worried. It's 8:00 Am and their father and brother would normally be here by now.
Qian Xi sighed sadly. "Did daddy take Yuan Yuan to the ice cream shop without us?" He asked.
The elder could only roll his eyes. Here he thought that his father and younger brother might have gotten kidnapped or something, but Qian Xi is more worried for the ice cream.
"Should we go check on them?" Junkai asked, getting up on his feet.
"You're the boss."
There was times when Junkai would just want to throw his youngest brother into a garbage bin, but he decided to hold it in for now.
The both of them walked back upstairs and saw their fathers door widely open, and Yuan's door was opened as well.
The feeling did not ease both Junkai and Qian Xi. The atmosphere was dark and suddenly,
There was a scream.
The two held each other tightly. It was coming from Yuan's room. Just hearing the screaming made the two of them sick out of their mind.
The voice was crying, begging for someone to stop and get that away from him. It was weird yet terrifying. Could that be a killer trying to kill their brother while their father is knocked out cold?!
"Should we go check it?" Junkai asked the younger who was already looking at some satanic books. The elder took the book and threw it away. "Now's not the time!"
"But Xiao Kai Gege! A demon might be trying to suck Yuan's soul!"
The elder gulped. "No it isn't, let's just check it out. Alright?"
Qian Xi nodded and the two of them made their way to Yuan's room, avoiding the screaming.
"NO! STOP IT! PLEASE GET IT AWAY!"
