Sunlight in his eyes is what wakes Arthit up. A single beam of light has managed to get through the slit in the curtains and slash directly across Arthit's face. He murmurs something incoherent and rolls over, coming face to face with Kongpob's fabric clad thigh.
"Time's it?" the elder asks, an arm snaking behind his husband's back, the other draping across his leg.
Kongpob looks down at him. "Six-thirty."
Arthit groans. "Of course you're already awake. How do you get up so early?"
A hand pets his head. "I've always been like this. Unless...," Arthit feels warm breath near his ear, "you want to find a way to make me sleep in?"
Arthit hits the younger's leg. "Don't be so crude in the morning." He turns his head and meets his husband's gaze. Kongpob smiles down at him. Arthit can't help the smile that spreads on his face in response. At this, Kongpob leans down, sealing their lips together in a warm kiss.
When he pulls away, Arthit makes a face. "Gross," he says. "Morning breath."
Kongpob's laugh in the early light is loud and clear. Arthit's lips curl upwards at the sound as he shifts to instead press a kiss to the younger's thigh. Hands settle in his hair once again, and he lets out a contented sigh.
"Kong," he whispers, voice soft, muffled by warm skin and soft fabric. The fingers running through his hair still. "I love you."
He hears the other man release a soft, quick breath. The fingers in his hair start up again. "Love you more," is Kongpob's whispered response.
"Impossible," Arthit says back before moving to tap the hand resting on his head, making Kongpob retract his fingers. He sits up to look the other in the eyes. "I'm going to brush my teeth. What about you?"
Kongpob turns off the lamp before turning to his husband. "What sounds good for breakfast?"
Arthit climbs off the bed. "New bakery on the way to work?" He clicks his tongue. "It looks good."
His husband nods. "Okay." He smiles and gets out of bed. "In that case, I'll brush my teeth with you."
Arthit hums before hesitating as he grabs his towel off the desk chair. "Actually, I'm going to take a shower."
At his words, Kongpob's expression turns sly. "Do you want me to wash your back?"
The elder frowns at him, moving away. "No. Do something else. You showered before bed last night, anyway." He slips into the bathroom, shutting the door softly behind him. He lets out a breath as he turns on the water before stopping. He's just finished shampooing when the door clicks open.
Arthit freezes.
"I'm just brushing my teeth," Kongpob reassures the elder. Arthit lets out a breath when he hears the faucet turn on.
"Hey, Kongpob," he says after a pause. "Can you hand me my toothbrush?"
Kongpob's response is garbled because of his own toothbrush, but Arthit can still understand what his husband is saying: "Okay. Just give me a second."
"Er, okay," Arthit responds, beginning to rinse out his hair.
When he's finished, Kongpob is pulling back the shower curtain and handing him his toothbrush. In exchange for his actions, Arthit presses a quick kiss to the taller's lips as he snatches the toothbrush out of Kongpob's hands.
"Thanks," he says as Kongpob hands him the toothpaste, also. Arthit wets his toothbrush before putting toothpaste on it and sticking it in his mouth. Kongpob smiles at him, reaching out to wipe away a bit of foam before rinsing off his hand and closing the shower curtain.
