I was definitely not expecting to see my best friend, Park Jimin, on my doorstep, at the dead of night. My breath hitches when I realize the dirt and grime on him and gently pull him in. I guide him to the couch and he flops down, groaning in pain.

"Stay right there," I stick my hand out, "I'll get the first aid kit."

I rush to the bathroom and frantically open cabinets. I find it and return to the living room. Jimin was leaning against the back of the couch with his arm covering his face. I place the kit on the table and sit down on my knees in front of him.

"J-Jimin? Are you okay? What happened?" I question, opening up the kit. He removes his arm and looks downs at me. His ears were flat against his head and his face had multiple scratches.

Yes, my fellow people, my best friend was, in fact, a hybrid, a calico cat hybrid to be specific. You don't usually see hybrids nowadays, let alone a male calico cat hybrid. Hybrids usually blend in with the crowd wearing hats.

I shake away my thoughts and pull out the hydrogen peroxide and cotton balls.

"Just a small fight is all" he sends a small smile.

"Geez... this is gonna sting you know?" I say as I gently pour some of the liquid onto the cotton ball. I lightly dab on the cuts, mumbling sorry every time he flinches.

Once completed, I toss the cotton balls in the trash bin next to the couch and place my hands back on my lap. His ears return to being perked on top of his head and his tail was slowly moving next to him.

"You're welcome" I let out a sigh and begin to stand back up. I went to put away the first aid kit, but my wrist gets grabbed.

"Can I stay the night?" Omg, he's pouting, who could reject that face?

"Yeah." 10/10 Y/N

He releases my wrist with a smile and I carry on returning the kit to the bathroom. On my way back to the living room, I grab a pillow and blanket for him to use. He was still sitting in the same position as when I left, so I poked his forehead.

"Come on, I ain't letting you sleep on my couch dirty. You know where the shower is and your clothes" I tell him as I set the blanket and pillow on the couch.

I hear him groan and about to complain but I glared at him. Even though he is a cat hybrid and cats usually don't like getting wet, I still don't want him dirtying my furniture. He reluctantly gets up and makes his way to my bathroom. I plop myself down on my couch, letting out a sigh.

Before you ask, yes, he does have extra clothes here. He's my best friend so of course he would. I hear the shower turn on, breaking my thoughts. I push myself off the couch and walk into the kitchen. Might as well make some tea.

I place the kettle on the stove to heat up the water as I pull the tea box out of the cabinet near the fridge. I grab two tea bags as the sound of movement catches my ears.

"I'm making some tea for us" I explain, turning around to spot Jimin with a towel on his shoulders. He was wearing a pair of sweats and a baggy t-shirt.

I grab two mugs, setting them on the counter as well. Jimin sits down at the kitchen table and I walk over to him. I grab the towel and start drying his hair for him. I made sure to be gentle with his ears. Why am I drying his hair you may ask? Because I could sense the tiredness radiating from him and decided to help.

I hear a loud whistle and jump back, dropping the towel over his whole head. I spun to see the kettle was ready and rush over to turn it off. I pour the hot water into the mugs and place the kettle on a different burner. I place the tea bags in when I felt weight on my shoulder. I freeze in place before realizing it was just Jimin.

"If you're that tired, then you can just go to bed" I suggest while picking up my mug, taking a small sip. His hand reaches around me and grabs the other mug.

"I'm fine" he lifts his head off my shoulder and exits the room. I follow behind him and sit next to him on the couch.

"So, are you gonna tell me what happened?" taking another sip of my tea, burning my tongue a bit.

Hearing nothing from the male, I glance over to see him half asleep, mug almost falling from his hand. I huff out a sigh and gently take the cup out of his hand, setting it on the table along with mine.

I was half mad that the tea was going to be wasted but I disregarded it. I stand up, placing the pillow on one end of the couch, and softly laying him down. He grumbles as I cover him with the blanket. I straighten back up and place my hands on my hips.

I wonder who would hurt such a soft boy like Jimin? Well, he does change when he gets angry, so someone must have gotten him mad. Poor Jiminie, he doesn't deserve this. I just wanna protect this smol bean.

I pick up our mugs and return to the kitchen, setting them on the counter. A sudden yawn hits me and I retreat into my bedroom. Not before first glancing at Jimin, to make sure he was alright.
