'I swear Owethu if you cut my face,I am going to fuck you up.'' if you don't trust me Flex, why did you let me do it?'
He rolled his eyes like she always did making her burst into laughter. He screamed and held his jaw as blood gushed out of it.
' Felix I am so sorry'
She quickly grabbed a hand towel from the bathroom cupboard and tried to get him to let her put pressure on it but he stayed away from her.
' Felix I am sorry,you shouldn't have let me do it '
Felix could hear the tears in her voice,so he turned to her with a smile on his face.
' Flex you cannot be smiling at a time like this.'
She was now in tears and he hated seeing her cry. So he removed his hand, she began to inspect.
' I can't see it,where is the bleeding coming from.'
'there is no wound,it's just fake blood.'
'you tricked me! Flex how could you,do you know how worried I was. How bad I felt.'
She pushed him away punching him in the chest but she pulled her into himself by her waist and wiped her tears away with his thumbs.
' it was just a joke, there's no need for tears.'
'you scared me Flex, you know how much I care about you.'
'I know and I am sorry for scarring you.'
With his thumb on her cheek,he made her look up at him and starred down into her eyes. Their faces slowly moved towards each other.
' Flex I,I have to go.'
She got out of his hold and grabbed her handbag which she had left on his bed when she walked in.
' where to?'
' I actually have a date with Thabo, just came over to bring the file you wanted.'
' not with that idiot again.'
'Felix I have never bashed the innumerable women you have dated,so please respect my boyfriend.'
He followed her to his front door,h e grabbed her wrist turning her around just as she was about to walk out his door.
' Felix what the hell!'
'why do you call me by my full name when you are mad at me.'
'because it is your name now let go of me,you are making me late.'
'when did we start walking away from each other without goodbye kiss.'
Owethu pecked his cheek before walking out of his house. She never understood how their friendship came to this point. They had known each other since high school after she moved to this town. Being a shy big girl she could not make friends easily but somehow Felix or Flex as he like to be called, befriended her.
' stupid peck on the cheek.'
Flex sighed as soon as she drove away. Owethu was his life second after his daughter. He had befriended her in highschool when he was a senior and she a freshman. He had wanted to do something different in his final year,so Owethu became his project but she never knew.
