Thabo quickly set up the table with electric candles and cutlery. He took out the take and dished it into pots. He placed them in the stove keeping the temperature low enough to warm the food but not enough to burn the food. He quickly got dressed before heading downstairs to attend to the doorbell.

' sorry I am late.'

He pulled her in and kissed her,she reciprocated the kiss but broke it when he started grabbing on her ass.

' it smells good in here,what are you cooking?'

She walked into the kitchen trying to avoid what was about to happen and avoid an argument about it. They had been back in each other's lives for two weeks and she was not ready to be intimate with him on that level.

' come sit down,I will make you a plate greedy.'

She gave him a weak smile. She knew he was just teasing but the greedy word got her thinking about the harsh words he throws at her when he is mad. He shook that thought off and smiled. He had changed and was taking this anger classes,so things were good between them.

' this looks delicious. Compliments to the chef.'

She took a forkful of her meal and immediately tasted that it was store bought but she said nothing. She complimented him on the taste and continued eating. She noticed the romantic setting of the room and smiled to herself. He was actually making an effort.

' what?'

He asked noticing the smile on her face. She shook her head.

' nothing,it's just that you have never done something so romantic. From the flowers and watch you bought me. Then taking me out to lunch everyday for two weeks. '

' I told you I am working on being a better man for myself and you.'

He grabbed her hands from the table and held them in his.

' baby I haven't been a good boyfriend to you at all and I am deeply sorry. I am sorry for putting you in hospital. I am sorry for ever putting my hands on you,for hurting you and causing you to loose our baby.'

Owethu swallowed hard she had never told Thabo the truth about the baby she had lost. Even though she slept with her bestfriend part because she had found him in bed with another woman. She got intoxicated for the first time that night and Felix came over that night. One thing led to another and she woke up first the next morning and left him alone. Only to find out five weeks later,after she had gotten back with Thabo,that she was with child.

' can you forgive Owethu,can you forgive me for everything I put you through.'

Thabo was once again on his knees with the engagement ring from four nights before. She had declined his proposal asking him for sometime to think about his proposal. She explained this to him after accepting his proposal in the restaurant but gave it back when they left.
