That next few minutes went by in a blurr for Marco. Jean just stood there for a minute, in shock, staring at his dead body. Jean's sweet honey coloured eyes filled with tears and he almost looked like he was going to collapse. Hearing the other mumble to himself, Marco moved to Jean. He moved to grab ahold of Jean's shoulder and shake some sense into him, but his hands went right through the other. At this oddness, he stumbled and fell through the other, nearly tripping to the ground.
At this oddness that he was no longer human, no longer able to feel and touch like he could when he was alive, Marco held his hands up and stared at them, frowning deeply.... he could never be normal again, and, well, even if he could return to his body... He sighed and turned, looking back at his body. His face was half burnt and he was missing an eye. What had even happened to him?.... There was no way a normal titan did this.
As he stared at his liveless limp body, he heard two people speaking... he realised he had stopped listening and went to his thoughts. Listening back in, he noticed Jean speaking to a health worker.
" Marco Bodt.... is dead..." Jean sighed, and he stared down at his hands like Marco had moments before. At the sight of Jean's teary eyes, he moved over to him.
" Jean! Jean! No, I'm still here!!" He shouted to him, and stood infront of him, waving his arms. " I'm still here!!!" He screamed, tears streaming down his face. Jean... Jean was never going to see him again. Jean would never know that Marco was still there, watching over him.... And this absolutely broke Marco's spirit. Wiping his eyes, he sniffed and shook his head. Moving over to his body, he tried to get back into it.
" P-Please! Please! Let me go back!! " He sobbed, he wiped his eyes as he sat back inside his lifeless body. As he sat there, he sobbed quietly, staring off he watched as the woman walked away and Jean knelt down on his knee, taking a hold of Marco's unanimated hand.
" I'm sorry Marco.... I couldn't protect you..." He sighed and shook his head. Lifting his hand along with his body's hand, he felt like he could actually feel Jean holding his hand.
" Jean... I... I'm not dead... I'm still here..." Marco muttered. And, as if to response, Jean mumbled quietly as he stood, just loud enough for Marco to manage to hear.
" Marco Bodt is dead...."
