Prologue
The ringing alarm of the elevator jolted the Lighter, Swimmer, and Runner out of their deep sleep. Their heads snapped upwards towards the elevator and they grinned through the haze of numbness that their slumber had created.
When the red lights started flashing throughout the hallways, and their peers began dashing to the sleek silver piece of technology; they took their time in getting up. Who needed to rush when they had all the time in the world? Someone would eventually bring news of the Greenie to them, no one could deny them of it, who would dare?
When the dark boy knocked on their respective doors and gestured for them to get their arses out of bed, they knew that they couldn’t delay the inevitable any longer. Minho, Thomas and Newt dragged themselves into the blinding white light but found themselves wide awake soon enough.
For silvery eyes were staring right at them.
