Bendy and Boris: A Demon's Promise

Chapter 3

The demon and his younger brother walk out of a pig family's house. The youngest pig runs out behind them and stops them.

"W-wait! Um... I know you were paid, but I wanna thank you guys with these!"

The piglet says holding out coupons to a nearby restaurant.

"T-the food's really good! It's near the arena... The one Mickey Mouse performed in a couple days ago."

Bendy takes them and pats her head.

"Thanks, kiddo. If there's ever any trouble in the future, give us a call."

"Kay!"

Boris runs after his brother who's nearly leaving him in the dust. The wolf groans, needing a break.

"Ughh... Now you are-... You aren't weary of-... Running into those... Cupguys...?"

The wolf says between pants. Bendy slows down and waits for his brother to catch up.

"It's been days! It's not like their guarding the place, now hurry up! I need to see if they have his new book!"

"That's why we're running? C'mon Ben, I doubt there's many people in the bookstore."

"YES! Finally! I snagged the last one!"

Bendy cheers as his brother sighs. The little wolf is still shocked at how many people came to the bookstore to buy the same book. The newest book by the famous author, Felix the Cat is released today and no one knows about it until the last minute. Every new release is told the last minute.

The brothers exit the shop to be greeted with lasers aiming at them. They freeze.

"Surprise mother-!"

Cuphead sentence is cut off when he shoots at Boris. Bendy knocks the wolf to the side, the beam going over his head and demolishing the front door of the bookstore. Screams of pain, panic and terror echo throughout the area as bodies collide in their haste to get to safety.

Bendy grabs his brother and runs with the crowd, encouraging him to duck down and blend in.

"Don't just stand there, shit for brains! Find them!"

The angry cup roars at his brother. Mugman springs into action and looks for a certain little wolf to catch.

Somewhere in the mist of their getaway, the brothers lose each other. Bendy ends up in an abandoned park and his brother finds himself in a market place with people completely oblivious to the bookstore accident. The wolf calls out for his brother running through the market, occasionally bumping into people.

He continues running until he notices a familiar blue scarfed mug in the distance. Panicking, he turns back and runs in the opposite direction, calling out for his brother once more before he is swept of his feet by two strong arms.

......

"BORIS! WHERE ARE YOU, BORIS?!"

The demon shouts searching around the park. He decides to look within the forest connecting to it for any luck. He knows his brother always had a running advantage in areas surrounded by grass and trees. He is a wolf afterall. Bendy shouts for his brother one more time.

"BOR--!"

ZAAAP!

The demon cuts off as a beam of light strikes the tree right beside him. He snaps his head to the source to see an all too familiar blonde-haired cup standing on the branch of a tree.

"Damn. I missed, but I'll be sure not to next time!"

Bendy's eyes widen and he dashes through the forest, dodging laser beams left and right. Somehow, he manages to loop within the forest back to the same alleyway he had his 'inky episode' in. He reaches a dead end.

"Hahaha! Looks like this is the end of the road for you, bitch! And this time, I ain't helpin' ya!"

Cuphead snaps before shooting at the demon. The said demon clenches his eyes shut awaiting his death. A death that never comes. He slowly opens his eyes to see what looks like Cuphead's brother. Next to him, knelt Boris staring up at the mug with wide petrified eyes.

That's when Bendy notices it. Blood drips from the man's frame forming a puddle beneath him. Mugman drops to the ground.

He was hit.

Moments before...

Boris struggled and cried as Mugman had a strong hold on him.

"I've got you! I've got you! Bro's gonna be so proud of me!"

The mug cheers as he drags the poor wolf with him.

"I don't want to die! BENDY!!"

Boris cried, struggling weakly. Mugman tilts his head.

"Bro only wanted me to catch you. I'm not gonna kill you. At least not yet! Now come on!"

Despite his fear and slight confusion, the wolf halted his weak attempts at escaping. The two heard distant screams and Mugman recognized one of the voices as his brother. He hops over a fence that led to a dead end of an alleyway where Cuphead stood.

"Bro! I--"

ZAAAP!

The mug cut off mid-sentence when a beam shot through him.

Cuphead stands completely still and his blood runs cold as he watches his brother collapse. He slowly moves toward his brother and before he knows it, he dashes to his side.

"M-Mugs! No, no, no!!"

Cuphead shouts and drops to his knees, lifting his brother into a seated position. The Bbrothers scamper away from the two, giving them space. Cuphead holds his brother close to him encouraging him to stay awake. His brother smiles weakly.

"....got -im...like...ask..d..."

Mugman forces before closing his eyes, drifting away.

"NononoNoNO! Mugman open your eyes! I SAID OPEN YOUR EYES, NOW!"
