"Welp, I guess there's no going back now." April said.
"Hold on girls, I need to take this call." Aunt Daisy said. She started walking away from the huge mansion so I thought we may have a chance of making a run for it (name puns are the BEST). Until she started walking back up the stairs.
Darn it.
"You know Aunt Daisy. If you need to leave we could walk to the mansion ourselves..." I said, trying to convince her to leave. I really didn't want to go there.
"Nope, not making the same mistake I did last time when you set the house on fire because you didn't want to stay with Minnie. I want to see you with my own two eyes walk inside of that mansion. In fact, I may even say hi. So up the stairs. Now."
"Ugh but do we HAVE to go??" April complained.
"What is your PROBLEM girls? What is up with you today?"
"The problem is that I had to go to Funso's to exchange my tokens for tickets."
"Yeah, what she said. And besides we don't even know him." I said.
"You should really be like June, she hasn't complained the whole way here."
Ugh. Of course June gets the credit. Like always.
April rolled her eyes and said "Well June is a nerd. Wherever we go, she finds something smart to do. Which is why we never take her anywhere."
"Hey! This is a once in a lifetime opportunity!! The historical and ancestral roots of our town lie here and—"
"Blah, blah, blah boring... nerd stuff, falling ...asleep...." April pretended to fall asleep on my shoulder and we started laughing like knuckleheads as an angry June glared at us.
"Alright girls, that's enough. Act your age please." Aunt Daisy said to us.
Our nervous Aunt rang the doorbell, and the door slowly opened. I wanted out. Don't ask my why I didn't want to be there. But I had a feeling something weird was bound to happen...
