Last night happened so fast. I left without getting a name, or a number, or anything!

I don't know why I left, I could have gotten to know her, but I didn't. I let nervousness get the best of me and I ran. It surprised me because getting to know people was my job!

She probably didn't like me anyway, she joined me because she was either drunk, or just didn't want to see me lonely. But she didn't come across drunk...

I was awoken at around lunch time by my phone ringing. It was work.

"Hello?"
"Hello Ashley. Just wanted to let you know that you have a new client on Tuesday. It will happen on your last hour, so 3-4. Is that ok with you?"
"Yes that's fine" I answered. I hadn't had a new client in ages!

"Her name is Lily Jackson, she's 19 years old and has been seeking help for quite some time now. I thought that you were probably the best for her to speak to."

It was better then fine. I was excited. However I was slightly concerned. 'Some time', how long was that? A few months? A few years? This could be interesting.

Tuesday came quickly. And I set off to work extra early because I had to prepare.

Saturday night had been pushed to the back of my mind, as I brought my work mind into focus.

I watched the clock throughtout the day, and it suddenly got to 2:45 pm. I got up to get myself a coffee and go to the bathroom. It was nearly time.

When I came back, my door was slightly open.

A shout came from down the corridor, telling me it was my new patient.

I straightened my blazer, patted my hair, and I could tell something was wrong.

This was either going to go really well or really bad, and I was already late, so it was probably going to be bad.

I opened the door and introduced myself.

"Hi, I'm Ashley Witherfield, your new therapist. You must be Lily?".

Nothing. No movement. No words. Nothing.

I walked around my desk and sat down. I straightened me skirt and got into a nice comfortable position. I stuck out my hand awaiting for a handshake, and when one was not returned I looked up.

Her big eyes stared back at me.

Oh no...

I know I said 2 a day, but I can't sleep and I am enjoying writing. So I will do one more of Lily and then probably carry on on Wednesday.
