Rai's POV-
I sat in class, I could almost feel the stares of my classmates on me. The teacher stared at me, and she didn't even ask a question and I know for a fact I did not space out.
My school was filled with supernatural creatures, and humans who could handle it were rare but they did exist . Unfortunately none of them are brave enough to get close to me, same with all of the other beings in this school. None of them ever came within a foot of me, which sucked. It got lonely okay! I haven't had a proper conversation since ... Well 2 years ago before I was hit by the goddess, shaya's, magick.
Good thing I was supposed to be switching schools, which meant I could start all over again but things spread quickly so I won't be safe long. As a witch or a magical being in general we often stay in school longer than humans usually til we're 24, in the process learning enough skills to earn a good job.
"Mrs. Hana ? Can we continue the lesson?" Everybody seemed to flinch when I spoke, even Mrs. Hana.. "Yes! We ca-can Rai." The teacher sputtered out and turned to the board and began the lesson from point one. It's a start... I guess...
