We crept out of the apartment building without making a sound. Jax was carrying me, as we had just been attacked from a security guard. He tried to tase us, and he got me before I could duck away. I was still twitching and fidgeting, but Jax didn't mind. Every time I made a cry of fear, Jax told me I was safe in his arms. Each time when I didn't believe him, the warmth of his chest reassured me, then I went back to twitching and fidgeting. All of a sudden, there was a shrill cry from the distance.

"VAMPIRES!" Somebody yelled out, and with my heightened eyesight, I began to see a glow coming from the distance. I soon saw that they were holding stakes and torches, obviously not afraid to spill some blood.

"J-...Jax..." I gasped, raising a shaking finger to the mob.

"Bloody hell!" Jax exclaimed, looking over his shoulder. "Okay Sarah, hold on tight." Seconds after he said that, he was running at a speed so fast that it seemed as if we were flying. No words could name this speed, but it was extraordinary.

I could no longer  hold a grasp on my consciousness any longer, as everything faded to black.

".....Sarah.....Sarah....SARAH!" Somebody said, shaking me with all their might. I opened my eyes and saw Jax, and he was bleeding from a wound on his forehead. Seeing this sparked a memory of the mob, and my eyes widened.

"Oh my god! Did they get you?! I'm so sorry I blacked out and couldn't help you defend us!" I said, wrapping my arms around Jax's body, which I now realized was covered in blood in many different places.

"Don't worry...they just beat us up a little...I-" Jax began, smiling at me.

"God dammit just tell me what happened!" I yelled, shaking Jax hard. "I care about you!"

"Okay fine.." Jax mumbled, placing a gentle hand on a large wound on my back.

"I soon lost my speed and collapsed in a gasping wreck," Jax began. "I kept you clutched in my arms, but the mob caught up with me. They forced you out of my arms and took you to the other side of the street. I could see them placing a stake in front of your heart, and before we got married, I vowed to protect you from everything, didn't I? Seeing them about to kill you....made me...uh well, you know how I'm like when I'm mad.." Jax smiled at me. "Anyway, I shoved them out of the way with all of my force. One person however, still wanted to harm you. So with the stake, they got your back. The fight ended in about a minute, per say, but neither of us came out of the fight unharmed."

"Oh god! Thank you so much for protecting me, Jax! I wish I wasn't asleep...." I said, hugging Jax tighter and beginning to sob at the fact that I almost lost my dear husband while I was unconscious.

"It's okay. I'm glad you were asleep. I don't think you could have defended yourself," Jax said, but when he caught my flaring gaze he quickly added "..because there was too many of them....and in your weakened state.."

"Baka!" I teased, then playfully punched his shoulder.

"Where are we?" I asked, standing up and wiping dirt off of my jeans.

"London," Jax smiled. "You did say you wanted to spend our actual honeymoon here, so after that fight we just had with humans in Japan, I got the help of a few airplanes and we made it to London."

"Oh Jax!" I yelled, hugging him the second he stood up. "Thank you, thank you, thank you!!"

"No problem," Jax said, then grabbed my face and added "Now where's my gift..."

I caught his shifty glance and grinned. "In a hotel," I purred. "Or do you not want to wait?"

Jax answered my question by pinning me to a wall and kissing me.

"I wish we could now, but I'd rather wait.." Jax purred back at me.

Oh, I was so glad we made it to London!
