Sam's POV

Octavia groaned as Bellamy carried her fragile body into another large tent. "I can't feel my legs." She complained.

I looked at her worriedly. "It must be the venom." Bellamy placed her down on the chair and others crowded around the protect their queen. "Put her arm on the table!" I commanded. Everyone followed my orders, knowing that I was the only one who could save her. "We can't let it get into her torso." I looked towards Miller. "I need you to make a tourniquet out of whatever you can find. And get me a med-kit!"

Copper looked shocked and dazed and she stared directly towards's Octavia's arm where the bug laid. "There were dozens of those worms. They must lay their eggs..."

"Thank you! Go!" I yelled and got Copper to leave the room before she could say something worse.

Bellamy got Octavia to look at him and tried to have her relax. He held onto her other hand and refused to leave his sister's side.

I tied the tourniquet tightly around her left arm. "Will that stop it?" Bellamy asked, referring to the parasite.

I shook my head. "It's not for the worm, it's for the blood. I need a knife now!"

Octavia didn't seem sacred as she waited for me to get that thing out of her. "What are you waiting for?"

"Okay, sat still." I commanded as I brought the knife closer to her skin. "This is gonna hurt." I cut deeply into her skin, right above the worm before digging my fingers into the cut. I felt around until I felt something slimy touch my fingers. Once I had a good hold, I pulled.

"Please, if you can hear me this is an emergency."

The radio went off and Bellamy looked towards me. I nodded telling him that everything was okay and he could take it. Bellamy pulled the radio from his belt but still held onto Octavia's hand.

"Monty, it's me." He spoke into the radio. I continued to pull the bug out. "Something tells me we got your emergency beat."

"I doubt that. The prisoners have an eye in the sky on the mothership, and a missile system on their transport ship." My actions stopped momentarily at this. Missiles? "There on their way right now. You have to move. Hide somewhere and take cover."

"Hide from an eye in the sky? How are we suppose to do that?"

"Murphy says we have a friend inside. If he's right, the eye won't be watching. You have a window but you have to move. Now."

I had finally got the worm out of her arm. It wiggles and squealed in my hand as I handed it to Copper who put it in a container.

"If they see us retreat, they'll stand down." I suggested.

Octavia grunted in pain and in refusal. "You still don't understand. Wonkru does not retreat."

Bellamy looked deeply into his sister's eyes. "You do if you want to live."

"Now is not the time for a debate." Indra butted in. "Even if we do retreat, the path home puts us in the middle of a sandstorm."

Octavia clenched her teeth. "Those tunings are not our home." Octavia stood up as I just finished wrapping her arm in a cloth. "That valley is, and we're taking it back."

I tired to push Octavia back into a sitting position. "Octavia, easy. That venom is still in your system."

"Get ready to understand."

Octavia ignored my warning and quickly exited the tent.
