Star read the letter aloud to herself
"Dear Star, I have decided that I don't want to be your squire anymore. You have destroyed my life enough so I've gone into hiding. Don't bother looking for me. I never want to see you again. Sincerely, Marco"
"Oh my gosh! What have I done?!" Star grabbed her phone and texted Tom to come over right away. She then ran to the throne room
"Mom, dad! I need your help! Marco was mad at me and now he ran away!" Her parents just glanced at each other. Moon cleared her throat to speak
"It'll be alright dear. We'll find him in due time." She walked towards her daughter and put her hands on the princess's shoulders but she quickly shoved them off
"But he's still out there! We need to find him now! What if he gets hurt or-" Moon cuts her off
"STAR!" She sighs and continues to comfort her daughter
"Look, I get that you're concerned. We all are. But we can't afford to think irrationally about this. You two could use a break from each other. Besides, Marco is a smart kid. He can fend for himself."
Star's eyes filled with tears and she sniffed. "You're right mom. I'm sorry. I just don't know what I would do without him. I'm going to go back to my room. Thanks." She hugged the queen and walked back upstairs
She sat quietly on her bed and pulled out one of Marco's old hoodies she kept. She hugged it as tears streamed down her face. Then, out of the corner of her eye, she noticed a picture of her and Marco she has on her desk
"Don't worry Marco, I'll find a way to bring you back." Star wrapped herself in the hoodie and laid down. That night, she cried herself to sleep
