TONY'S POV

2:34 AM

I lay awake in bed, looking up at the ceiling. I couldn't fall asleep because I was worried about what Peter had said to me earlier. Dad, Flash would have to turn over a whole tree- no, a whole forest to be nice to someone, well, like me. I couldn't help but want to cry, well, not cry per se, but get very emotional.

I couldn't stand the idea of someone hating or even disliking my son. I mean, Peter Benjamin Stark-Rogers is one of the best kids I know. I mean sure, he's only fifteen which means he still has a lot to learn, but there's so much room in his heart for love and caring and kindness to others which is what I love about him.

I looked over at Steve who was also lying awake. I extended my hand so that it touched his and he looked over at me. "What's wrong, Tones?" he asked, turning on his side to face me. I hate it when he does that. I mean, I love that my husband is so caring, but I hate it too. I sighed and turned onto my side to face the taller man.

"Just... Peter has me worried," I said after some time. His hand cupped my face. "Babe, don't worry about him, okay? Peter is one of the strongest, most independent men I know. After you." He added with a chuckle.

We heard a soft knock on the door. "Dads?" Peter said. "C-can I come in?" The door pushed open to reveal Peter in a too-big white t-shirt and some grey athletic shorts. I sat up slowly, as not to wake Steve. "Hi, Peter," I said, softly. "What's up?"

"I just- I can't sleep. I dunno why," he said. He sounded scared which he knew I knew and immediately wanted to retract his statement. "Is it what that kid said to you?" I felt Steve shift in bed, turning so that he was facing Peter and me. He cocked his head in confusion and reached his hand over me, extending it to our son. Peter sat down on our bed, lying across my legs and putting his head in Steve's lap. Steve and I rubbed Peter, Steve rubbing his shoulder and I rubbing his leg, trying to calm him.

PETER'S POV

Yeah, I know; make fun of me. I'm fifteen and sleeping with my dads, in their bed. It wasn't Flash I was worried about. I don't know what it was but my spider sense was off the charts. I stared up at the ceiling, my dads still attempting to soothe me.

"Dads," I said. They turned to look down at me. "Something's coming. Something bad," I said, chewing on my lip in nervousness. I just wish I knew what was making me so I couldn't sleep.
