Chapter 8

A/N Sorry for the long wait again! My reason for it to be a problem to update is because my computer sucks. I constantly have to restart it and shut down. And because I don't get home till late it makes it a little more difficult. Also i may edit some of the chapters. So bare with me everyone and enjoy this chapter!! :) 

The day had finally arrived, the sports festival. The days went by fast for those who trained as for Kyoko, her days dragged. Kyoko stepped into the waiting room after pushing past all the reporters and huge crowd, her anxiety washed away once she was away from the crowd. Stepping into the room Kyoko was met by Mina who was overjoyed at the sight of her friend. Bakugou lifted up his head towards Kyoko who only gave him a dirty look and turned her head away from him, earning a 'tch' from the blonde explosion.

"Midoriya" Todoroki spoke, earning everyone's attention including Kyoko whose heart skipped a beat looking at him. It had been a while since she had seen him and seeing him now made her happy.

"Hey Todoroki, what's up?" Midoriya asked timidly

"From a objectives stand point I think it's clear I am much stronger then you" Midoriya was taken back by this statement but couldn't deny it. Kyoko raised an eye brow at the situation forming what is he thinking? Midoriya let out a small yeah as response.

"However you have All Might in your corner backing you up, I'm not here to pry about you two. But know I will beat you" Todoroki stated.

Kirishima got up from his seat and walked over to Todoroki and placed his hand on his shoulder "Hey what's the big idea starting a war already and right before the festival?"

Todoroki shoved Kirishima's hand away "We aren't here to make friends, don't forget this isn't a team effort" Todoroki began to walk away; he paused for a moment locking eyes with Kyoko who only stared at him in disbelief at the harsh words he spoke.

"Wait a second Todoroki" Todoroki broke his gaze from Kyoko and turned to Midoriya "I don't know whats going on through your head and why you have to tell me you have to beat me. Yeah of course you're better than me; you out of everyone have the most potential in the hero course that's why you got in so easily"

"Hey Midoriya, maybe you're being a little harsh on yourself and on us" Kirishima tried to reason

"No, he's right. All the other courses are coming for us with everything they got. That's why we have to fight and prove ourselves. That's why I am going to be aiming for the top as well" Midoriya's demeanor changed, before he was nervous and scared and now he was more determined.

"Fine" was all Todoroki said.

All the student's made their way out to the arena and were greeted to the sound of cheering. Once Midnight gave directions the first challenge came onto the screen 'Obstacle Course'.

Kyoko started stretching getting ready to run/walk. As she was in mid-stretch she felt someone grab her shoulder "Kyoko, please run with me. I know I am going to need help and I know you don't want to be a hero but I do. With your help I know you can help me get there. You don't need to use your quirk but two heads are better than one"

Kyoko stared at Midoriya in disbelief "Why are you asking me?"

Midoriya stared at her; he had been reciting these words since his training with All Might

All Might had just got done with telling Mirdoriya that the sports festival was the best way to become recognized as a good hero.
