Summary: In which Akashi's little brother Seiji is sick and Kuroko was there to help take care of him

"Is there something wrong, Oka-san?"

Akashi arrived at their house along with his boyfriend; Kuroko, and they were welcomed by his mother who had a worried look on her face as she paced around. Shiori stopped from hearing her son's voice and looked at them with an exhausted smile.

"Ah Seijuro, welcome home." she greeted before turning to Kuroko. "And Tetsu-chan too, it's nice to see you again!"

"Good evening, Shiori-san." Kuroko smiled and bowed at her.

"You seemed so restless, Oka-san." Akashi chimed in. "Is there a problem?"

"Yes?" Shiori sighed. "There's a very important meeting that I need to attend, but it's already past ten and your father is also out."

"That's alright," Akashi nodded. "We'll look after the house and I'm sure Seiji's already asleep by now, he won't notice that you're gone."

"That's the problem though."

Akashi perked at the mention of his little brother and he started walking towards the little boy's room, with his mother and boyfriend tailing behind him.

"Did something happen to Seiji-chan?" Kuroko frowned.

"Well... he's sick right now and he can't fall asleep without me. He kept crying if I leave and after crying a lot, it managed to put him in sleep for a while." Shiori whispered. "He'll eventually wake up, so I can't really leave him..."

They reached his room and Akashi was instantly on his whimpering brother's side.

"Seiji?" Akashi cooed and nudged him. "Are you still asleep? Nii-chan's here?"

The three years old's mismatched eyes opened and he looked up at his brother; tears quickly forming in his eyes.

"N-Nii-chan..." he cried out before hugging him.

"Hey it's okay," Akashi gently pulled him up and Seiji buried his face into Akashi's neck. "Don't cry little one, Nii-chan is here for you."

Akashi gently rubbed his back as Seiji whimpered before looking at their mother.

"The situation is as it is." Shiori smiled sadly. "I really don't want to leave him but.."

"We can look after him, Shiori-san."

"Is that alright with you, Tetsu-chan?" Shiori asked in shock. "I mean... I don't want to bother your alone time with Se-"

"H-Hai! It's alright!" Kuroko blushed and his boyfriend knowingly raised his eyebrow. "We were just going to uh, study anyway - but that can wait."

Akashi chuckled lightly and placed his brother back on the bed, covering him with his blanket before looking at Shiori.

"It's alright, Oka-san. We'll look after Seiji."
