Part - 27. Convincing Him

Kaushalya approach to him. She cupped his face, scanning him from top to bottom..

'tu thik hai na bunnu. Tujhe kuch hua nahi hai naa beta' Kaushalya asked in concern.. In reply Vineet hugged her..

'Maa' he uttered, hiding his face in her shoulder as he couldn't able to control himself..Kaushalya feel wetness around her shoulder, this make her worried..

Anamika left the place, she marched towards their room to give mother son some space. She turn to take a glance of them before entering the room.. They were still hugging.. She smile lightly to see them and entered inside the room..

She saw Khushi sleeping in the cradle.. She sat on the bed and took his photo which was on the side table.. She caressed his picture..

'tum pareshan ho, ye main janti hoon bahut aache se par kyun ye nahi janti.. Shayad tum batana nahi chahte, ya dar rahe ho kissi baat se.. Jo bhi ho main bas itna janti hoon ki tumhari ye pareshani, ye bechaini mujh se bardasht nahi ho rahi.. Mujh Se na sahi Mummy ji se apni pareshani bata do aur pehle jaise ho jao Pati. Main tumhe aise nahi dekh sakti ‘she curl up her leg and hugged the photo frame.. She put her head on her knees and closed her eyes thinking about him..

In the hall

Feeling the wetness around her shoulder, Kaushalya panicked.. She parted him and found him in tears.. She panicked more..

‘Bunnu. Tu ro kyun raha hai.. Kya hua bacche’ she asked cupping his face..

‘maa.. Main.. Mujhe.. Mujhe tumse baat karni hai.. Kuch.. Kuch batana hai tumhe’ Vineet said in breaking voice, tears were rolling down his cheeks.. It becomes difficult for him to hide the truth and his pain.. He tried hard, he didn't disclose the truth to Anamika although she sense his sadness.. But he didn't able to control himself in front of Kaushalya, he break down..

Kaushalya wiped his tears, she hold his hand and took him to her room.. She open the door and they entered inside.. Kaushalya make him sit on the bed and gave him water.. He denied but she make him drink a little..

She sat beside him.. Vineet looked at her silently, not even uttering a word. It seems he is collecting words to speak..

Kaushalya was looking at him keenly, trying to read his expression but wasn't able to.

Kaushalya broke the silence with

‘kya baat hai bunnu, bata naa.. Teri chuppi mujhe pareshan kar rahi hai..’

But Vineet was quite, he was in dilemma how to say the truth to her..

‘mujhe bahut ghabrahat ho rahi hai, bunnu bata naa kya baat hai’ Kaushalya asked worriedly..

Vineet looked up at her and hold her hand ‘maa.. Sab bigad gaya, sab kuch ‘He said, tear rolled down his cheeks.

Kaushalya looked at him confusedly ‘kya bigad gaya.. Tu kya bolna chah raha hai, aache se bata’ She said..

‘wo.. Main.. Wahan.. Chennai..Shadi..’ his voice choked.. His voice were breaking..

‘wahan, unn logon ne.. ‘he was not being able to say..

‘unn logon ne kya?? Saaf saaf bol ‘Kaushalya asked..

Vineet close his eyes for few seconds and then open, he wiped his tears ‘wahan.. Jab main pahucha tab.. Tab pata chala ki Devika ki shadi.. He stops for a second and continued further controlling himself.. Shadi mei dahej diya jaa..raha hai.. Meine..meine unhe rokne ki bahut koshish ki.. Par wo log nahi maane..he then narrated her about the fight between him and Devika family.. He also narrated how the groom denied to marry Devika.. And how Devika family blame him for this..

Vineet looked up at Kaushalya and broke down in tears, not being able to say further..

‘main toh sirf.. Sirf Devika ka bhala chahta tha aur uske badle mere saath hi..un logon ne’ he sobbed.. Kaushalya was just staring him but wasn't reacting..

Kaushalya make him looked up at her.. She wiped his tears and cupped his face ‘unn logon ne jo kiya wo bahut galat tha.. Par jo tu abhi kar raha hai wo bhi sahi nahi hai’ she spoke.. Vineet was confused..

‘Maa.. Tum.. Tum janti ho’ he asked confusedly, with trembling voice..

Kaushalya nodded her head positively ‘haan main sab janti hoon.. Sab pata chal gaya hai mujhe.. Un logon ne kya kiya tere saath’ she said hatefully..

Vineet hug her tightly and sobs ‘meine bahut koshish ki unhe rokne ki par wo nahi maane.. Zabardasti Devika se.. Meri shadi’ he cried..

Kaushalya caressed his head and back to console him ‘bass.. Chup ho jaa.. Unn logon be jo kiya uske liye main unhe kabhi maaf nahi karungi.. Aur naa unhe aise hi chod dungi.. Teri har takleef ki keemat chukani hogi unhe’

Kaushalya separated him from herself ‘jo hua usse thik karungi main.. Aur tu wo kar jo tujhe abhi karna chahiye, jo sahi hai.. Vineet looked at her confusedly, Kaushalya continued.. Bahu ko sach bata de’ she said holding his hand..

Vineet expression changes ‘nahii..main kaise sach bata sakta hoon usse.. Tum janti ho, wo bardasht nahi kar payegi.. Agar usse kuch..kuch ho gaya toh…agar ussne meri baat nahi samjhi toh.. kya karunga main fir.. Nahi.. Main usse kuch nahi batayunga’ Vineet said shaking his head in no.. He was fearful of loosing her..

Kaushalya held him by shoulder ‘usse kuch nahi hoga.. Wo teri baat ko bhi samjhegi.. I know wo childish behave karti hai but it doesn't mean ki wo waisi hi hai.. Tu ye baat bahut aache se janta hai ki wo aisa issliye behave karti hai kyunki it makes you happy.. Tu enjoy karta hai uski nautanki, uska pagalpan aur sirf issliye wo aisa karti hai.. Baki she's mature enough.. Aur abhi bhi tujhe udas dekh ke usne kuch jaroor kiya hoga taki tu muskura de..

Vineet looked at his mother.. Yes she is right, Anamika tried everything trick to make him smile.. He knows very well that she is mature enough to understand the situation but still his fear of losing her wasn't letting him to say the truth.. He hung down his head..

Kaushalya sighed, she lift up his head ‘aaj nahi toh kal ye sach usse pata chal hi jayega.. Aur jab usse kissi aur se pata chalega toh sach mei wo bardasht nahi kar payegi ki tune uss se itna bada sach chupaya.. Agar aaj tune sach nahi bataya toh kal koi aur usse yahi sach tod maror ke batayega aur wo ussi pe believe karegi, kyunki tune usse sach nahi bataya hoga.. Aur tab tere Haath mei kuch nahi rahega, tu chah ke bhi kuch rok nahi payega.. Fir shayad tu sach mei usse kho dega ‘

‘nahi’ Vineet shouted, he can't afford to loose her..

‘issliye keh rahi hoon, jaa ke sach bata de usse.. Mujhe vishwas hai wo sunegi teri baat’ she assures him..

Vineet nodded in yes tearily.. Kaushalya smiles and wiped off his tears..

Vineet left the room and marched towards his room to reveal the truth to her..
