Ashton’s POV.
Because I haven’t bought any food to eat yet, I took my breakfast on a small café, only two blocks away from my building. I took a usual breakfast they offered on their menu and a cup of coffee latte, well actually not just a cup, but two cups of it. I admit that it was good and it really gives me such warmth feeling, just enough to keep me alive for the whole day and it really helped me to be productive in finding a job today.
I finished the course in Art Appreciation, I don’t really know why I chose a boring course like that, but all I know is I really want to create some stuff out of something and I also like to paint, that’s why I chose that course.
That’s a crap, absolutely.
That’s why I can’t find a job that’s appropriate on my passion. Great!
I’m just thankful that mum always gave me money whenever I need some, well actually even if I don’t need it, I always have it on my bank account. But I know I have to earn on my own, especially now that I’ve already finished college and I have to be independent as well.
It’s already four in the afternoon and I still haven’t found one. I almost gone to a few shops around the place and other establishments and companies, but they’re all have the same answers.
No vacancy.
Fuck, how unfortunate.
After wandering around downtown, I entered in a restaurant that hopefully will hire me finally because I fucking losing my patience and wasting my time to find a job. I asked them if they needed more staff. Luckily, the manager said that they badly need two more employees and they’re thankful that I asked.
Well, I think they should.
Unfortunately,
I’m hired as a waiter, slash dishwasher slash cleaner. Great job! What do I expect?
It’s a better job than nothing, I supposed, and I definitely need a job for my own sake!
They said I can start by tomorrow or maybe now if I want to, but I refused, I said I’ll start tomorrow and they agreed with that. They should, ‘cause I’m fucking tired already.
The ambience of the restaurant was so boring pale, though maybe that was the theme of the restaurant, but when you look at it closely, you’ll get easily notice that there is something that are not appropriate in it, like the few landscape pictures on the wall, the paled blue skin of the wall, and the furniture that are not necessarily on its spot and an opposite of cheerful faces of the staffs.
If I were the customer, I’d rather eat in a fast food restaurants with an overwhelming staffs.
That’s why there’s no doubt that they only have a less than ten customers every night and the reason that they only have four emotionless staffs. They usually open at four in the afternoon until one o’clock in the morning.
After getting hired from a boring restaurant, I went straight to a convenient store near the building of my apartment to buy foods and drinks.
I got bacon, chicken and beef meat, ham, eggs, veggies, fruits, canned goods like spam and beans, other snacks like Lays and Doritos, bread, coffee, sugar and other condiments, cold beverages like orange juice, milk, beers and of course wine. I also bought toiletries, razors and other staffs that I need.
