My mother nor my father is in their room. I run to the house across the street. The are a elderly couple, that like playing cards in the worst time. Like yesterday, when the bomb came and busted out all their windows and half their house, they were still playing cards.

"Mrs. Dillon, Mr. Dillon!" I knock on their door. "Yes honey" Mrs. Dillon answers her door, even though I can go to the other side and walk in through the distorted half of the house.

"Are my parents here?" I ask. "Yes, we were playing cards!" she says. "I was worried, with the rebellion going on-" I start to say. "The rebellion is over!" Mrs.Dillon exclaims excitedly.

"Who won?" I say excitedly "Who's the government?". Her smile turns into a frown. " We don't know honey", she says. She's lying her breathing hitched and her pulse went up, I could tell. After a few years ago when my brother died, my mother thought me to tell when people lie.

The capital told him that if he died in The Hunger Games they would feed my family for years. Then we got a note from the capital mainly saying 'Get lost'.

"Mom, Dad!" I yelled past Mrs. Dillon. " Yes, Sadie", My mother says. "Why is Mrs. Dillon lying to me?" I ask, as confused as a girl in the middle of nowhere. "Their holding another Hunger Games to decide the government!" Mr.Dillon says. I run out of the house and decide that tonight I'm running away.

Yeah, Short unedited chapter. I know, it sorta sucks but soon it will get better :(
