Today is Friday and to think I only met Lia 5 days ago is mind blowing. It was crazy and slightly scary how close we have gotten after only knowing each other for five days but I still wouldn't change a thing.

Luckily I have steered clear of talking to Mason apart from the odd greeting or small talk and Im pretty sure River is beginning to warm up to me.

Of course by 'warmed up', I mean he doesn't seem to completely hate my presence as much anymore, but hey I'll take what I can get.

Throughout the week I have successfully found all of my classes without getting lost once. Okay that may be a lie, I had to ask a random freshman where my photography classroom was because let's face it, I am by no means a navigator.

By some strange miracle I have managed to avoid any forms of drama and haven't had any more run ins with Scarlett apart from the odd death glares being exchanged. So all in all, my first week of high school was a success, well as successful as possible considering I run into trouble as often as I fall over. Which if you didn't get the point is often. Very often.

So that is how I got here, sat on our lunch table next to River, crying of laughter whilst watching James attempt to balance a spoon on his nose, claiming he's an expert.

"James, just face it, even I would be better at doing that than you" Mason states with a moody eye roll before turning back to his latest conquest.

"Hey! Everyone has a hidden talent and this just happens to be mine" he pauses before looking to me for reassurance, " right Hayden?"

"Sure James" I manage to say whilst I try to slow down my breathing from all of this laughter.

I briefly glance at Mason ,who is sat on the other side of river, when he scoffs however I quickly avert my gaze upon hearing my name being called.

"Earth to Hayden?" Natalia exclaims, waving her arms around in the air in an exaggerated way. I give her a confused yet humored look before realizing she must have asked me something.

"I'm sorry, what did you say, I completely zoned out" I reply finally answering her question.

"I saiddd" she begins whilst dragging out the first two words for what I'm assuming can only be added effect," do you wanna come over to my place today ?"

I quickly try to remember if I have any plans later today, other than trying to win some scare points, and immediately come to the obvious conclusion that I have absolutely no social life, so of course I'm free.

"Sure, sounds cool" I respond at the same time that I hear a groan coming from my left. I turn my head to find the source of the noise, only to find Mason mid-eye roll, clearly not enjoying mine and his sisters plans.

"Anything to say Daxby?" I shoot at him, becoming irritated by his actions.

"Nothing at all Rose" He immediately shoots back, now causing me to be the one to roll my eyes.
