Chapter 4

I look at him wide-eyed.
"What?" I say, my voice layered with confusion.

"I'm taking you to school, hurry up." He chuckles. He is so cute. I love the way his eyes twinkle and when he smiles his lips reaches higher on the right side-

"I-Okay." I stutter, stepping out of my house and into the passenger seat of his BMW.

I stare at him. He is just so beautiful.. I feel and urge to touch his hair- but obviously I don't because then he could get distracted and drive of the road and kill us both but it's worth admiring.

"Take a picture it'll last longer." He smirks.

I hide my face as a blush appears on my cheeks, I'm slightly embarrassed that he caught me staring at him.

As soon as we get to school I want to wait at the entrance, the way I did on my first day but Tyler insisted of dragging me around. The warm touch of his hand felt like a barrier between me and anything evil- like Ashley.

Speaking of the devil, she walks, more like tries to look seductive, towards us. Tyler and I exchange looks, not her we both probably think.

"Hey Kyla! How was your day?" She smiles brightly at me. Weird. I swear a second ago she was being a bitch. Well that might've been yesterday but who cares.

"Ashley it's still the morning" I study her fake face, squinting my eyes to see if I can see the demon under all that makeup. "Puta loca." I whisper under my breath.

"What was that?" She points to her ear, acting as she was deaf, but continues to look at our conjoined hands. I feel a slight uplift in my mood as I can see she is getting jealous.

"Anyways, tea party over, I need to go to class."
I grin at her, steering Tyler in my direction to dance.

We reach the studio and say our goodbyes, he reaches to hug me- and senses that I'm surprised that I've known him for one day but he doesn't seem to care.

"Hey Kyla." Miss Pin greets me, her eyes lighting up as I enter the room. She sets her belongings to the side and makes her way towards me.
"So, I would like you to meet someone." Her hand gesturing to someone I know very well.
"Kyla!" A voice beams.
"Lils, it's been so long." I half smile at her.

She used to go to the same school as me a while back but she moved a year later.

Miss Pin looks at both of us then carries on talking.
"Great, So you guys know each other. The task I'm giving you is to make a duet and show it to me."

We exchange excited glances at each other  and get straight to work. My strengths are leg, flexibility, turns and emotion, hers are more street dance characteristics like making street dance cool and interesting. So this will be a challenge.

We decided to do a fast dance to the song 'you should see me in a crown.' Which included both of our strengths. It didn't take that long to choreograph so we just took the extra time to chat. We decided to go to Chloé's Cafe, which by the way, is awesome.

We entered the aesthetically pleasing lit up doors and made our way to the plush pillow area after we ordered our coffee.

"So.. When did you arrive at Everlane High?" She asks sipping her coffee.
"Well, it was my first day yesterday. And by the way where were you?" I gulp down a big mouthful of tea.
"Well I was- who is that?" Her eyes widen at a tall and muscular boy that looks very similar to someone, he turns around and-
"Tyler?" I call him over.

He smiles and waves at me, bringing his laptop over.
"Hey Kay." He says smoothly not taking his eyes off Lily. I think they are eye flirting with each other and I feel a slight pang in my chest as they do.

Kay? He has never called me that but I'm pretty sure he knows it will annoy me.

"Who is this?" He gestures to Lily.
"My friend Lily, we used to go to the same school." He raises his eyebrows for a split second but then goes to his neutral face.

"Are we still hanging out later?" I ask him, hoping our hang sesh was still on.

"Yea duh, anyways I got to run. Bye Kay." He rushes out of the coffee shop.

We arrive back at school just in time for break. I notice Lily looks around awkwardly, her shyness coming through, I grab her hand and pull her to our table.

"Hey guys, this is Lily. Lily this is Lola, Tyler who you have already met, Aiden, Norma, Jason and Noah." I introduce her.

She waves at them, still hiding behind me. I'm about to say something but the Devil bursts in.

"WHO DID THIS?"
