Suddenly, as if he felt my gaze upon him, he looked up. And I locked my eyes with him without flinching; a mutinous sparkle enlivening the depths of my own gaze. It was a feeling as getting hit by lightning; the numbing sensation of stinging expanding to every cell in my body.
He didn't look surprised; not a bit. His eyes matched the way he felt towards the world: dark and cold. The whites of his eyes contrasted sharply with the pitch black iris that sunk deep into his head. Its depth resembled that of a black hole in space, an air of eeriness and unsettling coldness emanating from his gaze.
I saw from the angle how the woman with the weird hair color was about to turn around, possibly to check who Taeyong was looking at, and that's when I decided to break the eye contact. And as soon as I knew it myself, I had left everything lying there on my table and got up from my seat to rush to the bathroom. The only thing I took with me, was my phone.

Please be carefulDid I really know what I was doing? No. I bit on my thumb's fingernail, trying to figure out what I was supposed to do now. So far, everything went so well. It was actually too good to be true. Of course, the very person I didn't want to see under any circumstances would have to sit a few tables away from me and destroy everything.
Why the hell was he here anyway? Were there no other restaurants left in Seoul? Wasn't the city big enough? Would he starve to death, if he hadn't had lunch at Seventh Sense?
I suddenly thought of something my mum had told me ages ago and it felt like she was in the cabin next to mine. That's how real the memory of her voice in my mind was.
