Mao looked in the mirror, examining her appearance.

It was her first day of high school, and she was determined to make a good impression.

Her lavender dress shirt was pressed nicely and tucked into her purple plaid skirt, a matching bow adorning the base of her neck with her white blazer proudly over her shoulders. Her black socks were pulled over her knees with her shoes sitting on the floor next to her. She had contacts in, as she always did for school, and had her long, silky, black hair resting down her back. She made sure to put a scrunchie in her bag for when it becomes too much.

Mao sighed before grabbing her things and going downstairs to make her morning green iced tea and grab her lunch.

"Good morning, Tobio," she tells him softly as she enters the kitchen.

"You need to leave soon, your school is a little farther," he reminds her as he sets her lunch and tea in front of her, already made, along with her medication lined up on the counter.

Mao sighed, knowing she had no choice, and took her morning doses.

"Have a good day, Tobio. I love you," Mao pouts knowing she won't be with her big brother all day.

"I love you too. Let me know if you need anything, and text me when you get to school."

Mao was in a specialized college preparatory class, of pre med. Being it was such a difficult class, there were few people actually able to get into it.

Her family had originally been against her doing pre med, knowing how much stress it would be on her. Thankfully, her therapist vouched for her and told them she could handle it.

The class had a little over ten students, with each one having their own desk space.

Mao was nervous. Time to do this.

Mao had no friends, as expected. She didn't know what to do for lunch when she didn't have her brother anymore. She decided to buy a milk and go to the roof top to eat.

On her way to the roof top, she was sipping her milk when she bumped into somebody and it fell, spilling some with the straw on the ground.

"My milk," Mao pouted as her eyes watered a little and she looked down at it sadly.

"I'm sorry, are you alright?" Mao looked up to see a worried tall boy. It wasn't very hard to be taller than her because she was 152cm, but still. He had ash blonde hair with black tips and she thought he was really pretty.

"I'm fine," she sighs quietly, intimidated by the clearly older boy.

"Come with me, I'll buy you a new milk," he tells her with a reassuring smile. Mao manages to curve her lips into a smile, nodding before following him.
