A SON'S PROMISE

Sasuke walked back to the Palace grounds, mind lost in thought and was to be distracted to hear Naruto sneaked up behind him. "Sasuke! You had mother worried!" Naruto told him. Sasuke eyes blazing reached for sword. "Jez Sasuke dude relax it's only me, what the hell happen to you today? I know you been out of it ever since the meeting with the king but what the hell Sasuke!" Naurto told him. Sasuke took a deep breath and raking his hand through his hair. "Don't start Naruto, I had a really bad day! I had an encounter with the Rogues" Sasuke replied releasing his hold on his sword. "WHAT! Are you okay men?" Naruto asked him. But he already knew the answer, and he also knew that wasn't what really bothered his friend. Sasuke gave him an annoyed look. "what is it Sasuke I know that's not all that happen today, I know you when you get like that something else happen didn't it?" Naurto asked him accusingly. "tsk! Can't you just leave me alone dobe, I not in the mood for you today!" Sasuke replied irritated with Naruto's line of questioning. "AH! Jez men you don't have to get so worked up, fine I will leave you alone for a bit. But whoever she was must have been really interesting to be on your mind Sasu-kkkkkee" Naruto said mockingly and with lightning speed Naruto dashed out through the palace.Getting more aggravated Sasuke cursed and speed after him.

 But was stopped a few seconds later by Itachi. With a loud groan of annoyance Sasuke gave Itachi a lethal look. "calm down little brother I am only here to talk with you" Itachi told him with hands raised in surrender. "Since when do you wish to speak to me, we haven't spoken to me from the time you got married to Izumi and we all know how much she despises me" Sasuke spat out in response. Itachi then gave him a sad look, and with a deep sighing he replied: "Sasuke you know that is not true, Izumi looks up to you, and if it wasn't for father, I know she would have chosen you to get married too, if she hates anyone would be me" Itachi told him. "THAT'S A LIE AND YOU FUCKING KNOW IT!" Sasuke growled. "Sighhhh!!!! Sasuke marriage is not perfect especially one that is chosen for you, I will admit I always liked Izumi, yes I wanted her to be my wife someday, but when I heard that you two had like each other I gave up on those dreams, you were more important to me than any dream I had, why don't you believe me anymore little brother, we use to be so close." Itachi told him as he places his hand on Sasuke shoulders. But Sasuke quickly brushed it off. "I don't care about that now brother! I had enough of this place, at least you got to marry out of your own clan but me, father have me marry one of the moon princesses, how humiliating for me." Sasuke replied rage illuminating from his voice. Just then Itachi chuckle. "What's so funny Itachi?! It was your doing wasn't it?" Sasuke asked him Accusingly. "No, no it was all father's idea, in-fact I actually tired talking him out of it, but was told if I interfered again he would cut off my tongue and strip me of all royal title and feed me to the demon dogs" Itachi replied. Sasuke at that point was taken aback by what Itachi told him. "Why would father want me to marry the moon princess so much? I don't understand, is this some sort of plot to take over the Moon Kingdom?" Sasuke asked. Itachi shrugged "I don't know, all I know is father said he wanted to make amends for all the blood shad in the pass between the two kingdoms." Itachi replied. "And he thinks by me marrying that struck up brat is going to solve it! I rather DIE!" Sasuke replied. Just then his mother came from behind them 

"SASUKE! you promised me that you wouldn't! I will not lose another of my sons!" Queen Mikoto said as she grabbed hold of his face and forced him to look at her. "will you let your mother suffer like that again?" she asked him. Sasuke eyes light up apologetic now, "Off course not mother! never!" Sasuke answered pulling his mother into a hug. Tears started filling her eyes as she began to weep softly "Sasuke promise me again and this time please mean it, promise me you would at least try, I will not lose you too, my son" Queen Mikoto told him as she steps back to look at him. "Yes mother, I promise" Sasuke replied. After they both wish they're mother good day Itachi and Sasuke headed to the training grounds to let out some needed pent up rage. Few hours later after training together Sasuke and Itachi sat under the cherry blossom tree to rest and talk for a bit. "brother I know that look, what seem bother you?" Itachi asked picking up Sasuke idol worry. "I met someone today" Sasuke replied. She was so beautiful, and her sent was so appealing. But what caught me most of all was her sunshine radiation, like she was made of the sun and moon itself. I was just captured by her beauty and her elegant" Sasuke told Itachi. Itachi smirked, "hmmm so I am taking that you got this mystery girl's name by chance? Itachi asked Sasuke. Sasuke looked away and by the look of thing Itachi already knew the answer to that. "So, you let the pretty lady slip through your fingers without even getting her name? hmmm interesting, what will you do now?" Itachi asked Sasuke who was lost in space now. but there was no answer. But little did he foolish little brother knew he already knew who plague his thoughts, but he decided to play clueless just to indulge his little brother some more. "So little brother will you find out who she is and pursue her instead of the moon princess? By the way you sound, I would say you are highly fascinated with this girl," Itachi told him. Scuffing Sasuke rake a don't fuck with me look at Itachi but he wasn't phrase. He knew Sasuke very well and he knew that he would not let this go nor will he sit back and follow anything the king said.
