The next morning I went to the police station and they wanted to question me since I had talked to FP the night before. Therefore, I was sitting in an interrogation room with Sheriff Keller across from me. "Where were you July 11th?"

"I was at home with Penny." I answered him.

"Penny?" He questioned.

"Penny Peabody, my mother." I sighed.

"Why were you at FP Jones's house?" He asked me.

"FP expressed to me that he wanted to get sober for his son. He asked me if I would help him clean up his place so it wouldn't smell like a bar." I told him.

"Did you help him?"

"Yes."

"Why were you so willing to help him?" He asked, almost confused.

"FP is the closest thing I have ever had as a father and the relationship between Penny and I are not the greatest so I would rather not be around her." I told him.

"Why is relationship so bad with your mother?" He asked and I sighed, dreading this question.

"Because we fight a lot. Probably more than other mothers and daughters." I told him.

"What do you guys usually fight about?" He asked, concerned.

"Just normal stuff, like her not liking my friends, her not telling me who my father is or me staying out for long periods of time, avoiding her." I told him. "Why are you asking about her when you are questioning me about FP?"

"It's protocol." He answered, "I pulled your file. You have a juvie record."

"What Southsider doesn't?" I asked, sarcastically.

"You were arrested for assault."

"That's still not my fault. He punched me first." I sighed.

"You were arrested again for trespassing and vandalizing an abandoned building but all charges were dropped." He told me, "Why is that?"

"Penny Peabody is an attorney." I answered with a sigh.

"Would you like to call her, for FP?" He asked.

"No. She's a lawyer but instead of money you owe her a favor." I told him. "If I was FP I would trust anybody but her."

"I just have a few more questions before I let you see him." He told me, "Did you know Jason Blossom?"

"Yes, I did." I sighed, "I suspect you went through his phone."

"Yes, we did."

"I'm Rocky. We were secret friends. If the Northside found out that Jason Blossom were friends with a Serpent he would be ridiculed and it would be the same on my side of the tracks." I admitted.

"Your last message to him, why did you ask if he was okay before they found Cheryl on the river bank?" He asked me.

"I was worried about him, the night before we saw each other and he said he was nervous about something but didn't tell me why." I lied, FP told me to keep it quiet and I don't need to be arrested again.

"That was the last of my questions, I can let you see FP now." He said, getting up from the chair and leading me to the holding cells. The moment the door opened FP looked at me.

"Roxy, what are you doing here?" FP asked me, confused. When I walked in Sheriff Keller left us alone, no doubt watching us through the security camera.

"I needed you to say it to my face." I admitted.

"You came to see if I was lying, to see if it was blackmail or a setup." FP said, knowing what I was doing. FP can tell when I am lying and I can tell when he is lying.
