After a couple baskets of lies, Abba and Ummee were finally convinced of Airahs fake love story with Areef. Ummee became restless right away and started the necessary preparations to receive her "future in laws". She called Aunty Safiyyah and one of her nieces to help out.

Airah went up to her room and dialed Amal's phone. She must be at work as she did not pick up. After a few minutes Airah's phone light up with a notification. It was a text message from Amal.

In a meeting. Will call you when I'm out. Xo

Airah replied and then plopped on the bed. She definitely has to tell Amal about the latest development. Areef condition of confidentiality will have to exclude Amal. She has to have at least her best friend to help her through this ordeal.

With that thought she drift off into a deep sleep.

"Daddy, I cannot marry anyone else if not Areef. I have to marry him if not I'll swear off marriage." Amrah said to her father when he told her to forget about Areef and find someone else.

Her father was getting tired of her nonsensical thoughts. After making he look like a fool when he went to ask for marriage between them and was rejected. That was a big blow to his ego. And now his clueless daughter is still telling him she won't marry anyone if not Areef.

He controlled his anger and sat down a little closer to her bed.

"My Amrah, Anything and everything you wanted I provided for you. I never disappointed you. As long as its in my power. But this time around I cannot do anything about it. My hands are tied, Areef is not mine to control, neither his mother. I cannot just order him to marry you."

He tried to make her see reasons but she was not having it. "Daddy you just don't love me anymore that is why. How can you allow someone as low as a secretary to get something I want? That girl must have bewitched him, there is no other way Areef will be in love with her. He loves me."

She buried her face back into her pillow and continued to cry. Her father was out of words as he watched what he loves the most in the world cry in front of him and he can do absolutely nothing. He slowly got up and sauntered out of the room deep in thought.

He went to his room and began pacing. He had to do all he can to ensure his daughter's happiness. His wife sauntered in and was surprised to see that he has not even noticed her.

"Alhaji, Is everything okay?" She asked him.

He looked over to her then sighed before sitting by the bedside. She sat close to him and enquired again.

"I'm just worried about our daughter, I am scared if she does not marry this boy something will happen to her. She even told me that she will swear off marriage if she does not marry him."

"That was why you are pacing like you've been told you have cancer?" She asked him bewildered.

He knitted his brows together looking at her like she has grown a second head. "You mean to tell me that our daughter's problems is not enough to keep you up at night? Your one and only daughter?" He asked back.

"Of course her problems can keep me up at night, but reasonable problems, serious ones not one of her useless tantrums." She told him.

"What are you saying? That our daughter's marriage is not an issue just a mere tantrum?" He bellowed clearly annoyed.
