Entering Gwangjeon School of Performing Arts would only meant three things for a korean pop artist trainee like Lisa. First is, your future as a korean artist would be a hundred percent sure to debut in a big stage. Second, the school will determined if a certain trainee would be characterized as a Solo artist, a part of a group artist, or stay as a mere back-up dancer. And last but not the least, your skills as a trainee will definitely grow and develop upon your stay in the said school.
Just like every other artist, they graduated in Gwangjeon with the secured future in the entertainment world. And with the piece of paper at her hands, Lisa is confident to grasp that chance to dance in the big stage of the most well known country that invented the genre craze of the year; 'Kpop.'
"you ready Lizzie?" she looked and smiled confidently at her coach as she looked at the window pane glass to fix her bangs and get ready for her first day.
As Lisa's coach opened the company van, the ambiance of the place sets a bizzare atmosphere that you can't feel in a normal school or university.
It was a totally different feeling and atmosphere for Lisa who came from a public school campus back at her hometown in Thailand. She used to study in Thailand way back before she came to Korea to fulfill her dream to be a Korean artist.
"Is she the transfer student, coach?" she turned to her right to see a student in a faint rose gold hair that is slightly curled at the end of her strand. The first impression that came to her mind would be the confidence she emitts is to overpowering like she already possessed a characteristics of a professional korean pop idol.
"Rosé, meet Lisa. Lisa, This is Rosé. She is also one of my students here in Gwangjeon." Rosé reached out for my hand as she squeezed it and made a friendly handshaked out of it. "Nice to meet you Lizzie"
Lisa instantly felt happy, the moment she walked into this school she thought she'll never be able to make some friends here because of the strange ambiance it gives her. "nice to meet you too, Rosé"
After their friendly interaction, the two girls decided to enter the school building as Rosé showed and tour Lisa around the campus. They tour the school nearly for about an hour and a half. Even though it was the first time they met, Lisa became very comfortable talking and having a conversation with Rosé.
It was subject period that time so all the students were about to go to their own classes. But what caught Lisa's attention is the school badge on the uniform of each students. It seems to represent something as different student has different level of stars attached to their school cardigan.
"you've noticed the badge?" Lisa looked at Rosé who seems to have noticed Lisa looking at the different badge of the students in their uniform.
"The badge represents the status quo of the students in Gwangjeon. They say that if a trainee has 1 star on their badge, they are considered as the low class trainee who needs to improved their skills in the field of dance, singing, musical instruments and etcetera. The students with 2 stars, such as myself, are the high-class trainee who exceeds with their overall performance, We are only waiting for the dean to announce if we can enter the next stage of training such as being a backup dancer or enter the level of the highest ranking of all, the 3 star students or the elite-class, they weren't called as a trainee anymore because they already had a permission from the dean to debut as a solo artist or probably as a group, it still depends on their characteristics and skills." Lisa looked surprised at how Rosé were able to enter that stage, so it depends on the dean if she will debut or stay as a 2 star student. Then one of the students caught Lisa's attention as she was in her earphone staring outside the window.
Lisa who was staring at her noticed her badge which also has 2 stars in it; which indicates that she is a high-class student.
"a high-class" lisa uttered as Rosé noticed Lisa staring at somoene and followed her line of sight. It's Kim Jennie.
"She's Kim Jennie." Lisa looked back at Rosé who seems to know alot under her sleeve. Just when Rosé was about to utter a word, a professor enters the classroom which interrupted the conversation of the two.
"Kim Jennie, stand up." the professor called. Lisa immediately took a glance at Kim Jennie as the professor continued to call students from the list of paper she was holding. "Park Chaeyoung, stand up." Lisa reverted her line of sight at Rosé; who was also surprised being called by the professor. "Kim Jisoo, stand up." another name was called but no one stood up. "where is Kim Jisoo?" the professor asked when the entrance of the door suddenly open. "you're late again, Kim Jisoo" the professor dictate as she throw a bland face towards her. "go to your seat and stand up" she instructed the student as Jisoo walk towards her seat and placed her stuff on the table and remain standing just like what the professor ordered her. "and last on the list, Lalisa Manoban" Lisa who was confused, suddenly stood up like the rest of the three. 'Why is she being called?' Is what is on her mind.
"Congratulations to you girls, you've been picked by the dean to move to the next level of the ranking"
