"Now that's what I like to hear."
The moons offspring was dumbfounded, having only been alive for a few seconds. But the feat of creating a fully furnished building with running water and power out of nothing but the shell of the moon was such an astounding feat that the child felt compelled to ask. This strange longing for power and knowledge flowed through him like boiling water from a kettle. The child remained silent.
"Silence, eh? Well I must admit I'm a little confused myself. The moon seemed to be in such trouble with my proposition that it self destructed, leaving you, the unborn successor to emerge." Yundle vanishes into the Dome, contemplating what has transpired. The moonboy follows.
"So, I'm the moon?" The boy tails Yundle as he paces back and forth by a crater shaped window.
"Well, you're the next moon. Not due for billions of years in fact." Yundle turns and stares up at the spot where the moon used to be, neck deep in high level intellectual thought.
"Excuse me" the boy knows nothing, except that he must learn from this man. "I need to know the way of the Chad, I don't know why but I need you to teach me. What is the way of the Chad?"
"Child, the path to alphadom is riddled with challenge and struggle. I'm afraid guiding you on this journey may be a gargantuan task. Perhaps my contact with your father didn't go to plan."
He doesn't believe in me. The thought rattles through the head of the boy, disheartening him at first, but then, motivation takes the place of disheartenment. He leaves the dome and crosses the park to a road in full view of Yundle from the window. He turns to face oncoming traffic, and the danger in the air pricks up the nose of the Doctor, who looks up in time to see a truck narrowly avoid the boy. Yundle is intrigued. He's stupid. But brave. He may be an Omega, but the potential just might be there.
"Hey Moonboy! come in, I think we might be able to work something out!"
