Kyle's POV

Today is the day.

Today is the day when I go to the first meeting Garden Club. I gazed out the window and saw the "Beautiful" school garden. We're already gonna need a fundraiser for that. And one for seeds, and one for tools. And then we're going to have to sort through the girls who don't want to get their hands dirty becuase it will ruin their manicure. Like gurl, no, get out, this is for strong people who like to garden, not girly white girls who wear UGGs to their wedding. Just, no.

"RRRRRIIIIIIIINNNNNGGGGG." The bell screamed, cutting off my thoughts. I grabbed my Latin supplies and walked out the door. I would've run but the school has a no running rule. Wow, high-school, when did you become kindergarten? I opened my locker, and stuffed everything into my pixelated messenger bag. I straightened my carrot beanie and my white Ray Bands. As I rounded the corner, I saw a "gang" of boys. Their eyes landed on me.

CRAP, CRAP, CRAP, CRAP. I KNOW HOW HIGH SCHOOL WORKS, I'VE SEEN 80'S MOVIES. THEY'RE GONNA TARGET ME AS A VICTIM.

I closed my eyes and waited. I heard steps advance towards me. I breathed in.

"Hey. What's wrong, vegetable head? You blind?" The attacker said. I opened my eyes and saw the attacker wearing a black and red checkered shirt. I kept my mouth shut, and pretended to be mute.

"I said, answer me!" The boy said, lifting me up by the collar. I took my hands off my neck and signed him "I'm mute!" Another boy came up to me while the attacker still had his hands on my collar.

"Yo, Mitch, I think he's deaf, or mute, or something." A third boy coame up.

"He isn't, Jerome, he's in my Latin class; he can speak, and hear, and see." A panicked look flashed across my face.

"Ah, so we have a faker here!" The boy, Mitch, said. He lifted his hand and punched me across the cheek. I crumpled to the ground, and let out no noise.

"Mitch, Jerome, Jason, come on we're gonna miss football practice!" They jogged off and out the door. I picked up my now scattered papers and put them back in my messenger bag. I walked out the door and walked around the side of the school. I saw the football team on the turf field. I didn't really see, though, why we are called the Farmers. Whoa, the Farmers are gonna be so strong...

I looked to my right, and see a corner, formed by the two wings connecting. There, the garden is located. As I walked in, I noticed I'm the only boy. Great. I heard the snickers of the Yoga pants and Frap Cult from my left. I shot them a glare. I walked to the right and stood alone. There are two other people alone. They don't look like the average white girls. One of them was wearing an oversized, purple sweatshirt with a lime green lion on it, and has blueish-green eyes. The other has Ombré brown to white hair and a wolf on her shirt. Neither of them was wearing yoga pants or UGGs, so that was a good sign. The supervisor, Mrs. Sheri, came in. She handed us each a packet of vegetable seeds. I grabbed the carrot seed packet, the lion girl grabbed potatoes, and the wolf girl grabbed the cauliflower seed packet. I saw these three plots of dirt that were higher then the others, like a king plot. I claimed the one on the right, and started planting the seeds.

The two girls planted theirs next to mine. Mrs. Sheri then called the meeting to an end, and I grabbed my stuff and walked out of the garden. Then, I saw many faces I didn't want to see till tomorrow.

The "Gang."
