Chapter 2

I wait for him behind the main entrances stairs trying to get his attention. Just one glance would make my heart soar with happiness. I move to see him better and I step on a twig (how unoriginal) he turns to look and I hide getting dirt all over my white shirt an socks. Footsteps. Oh god he saw me. Oh god. Oh god.

"Nakamura?" Kaito asked sort of confused. I mumble something that he doesn't understand.

"Were you....watching me?" he enquired.

I get up like everything was ok, smiled at him, and ran away behind the school building as far as my jelly legs could carry me hoping he wouldn't follow me. I reach the back of the school.

"NAKAMURA!?" Kaito practically screamed at me.

I can't speak. I can't breathe. What am I supposed to say? I can feel myself turning red with embarrassment so I put my head on my knees. He sits beside me and sighs, looking up at the cloudy sky he says "I'm not mad I'm just asking. Were you watching me? I'm just wondering."

I finally manage to squeak out a tiny "yes."

"Do you like me or something?" he asks again.

Again I surprisingly manage to say "yes."

"You do know that I'm dating Aia? Right" he says as he looks up at the sky. "Yeah." That girl (Aia) is such a brain dead bitch. All she cares about is Kaito's money. Unlike me she doesn't see the best traits of him like his loyalty, kindness, patience and not forgetting his looks. Those dreamy eyes, wavy blonde hair and his strong yet slender body. Before I realize it I'm drooling, I wipe it away and look at him. He's still looking up at the sky. I wonder what he's thinking about. The thing is I've known Kaito since I was 3 and I'm 16 now so that's 13 years, when he's deep in thought he always looks up to the sky and I always get the gist of what he's thinking but now I have no clue. For all I know he could be thinking about sex to cereal.
