Final Chapter(7)

The girl senpai was with is Yori she is in my math class and is always ignored, but my senpai isn't like other people so he doesn't ignore her. I've heard her in the corridor saying that senpai makes her feel like the only girl in the whole world. WHY HER??!! NO ONE EVEN LIKES HER!!!! I take a deep breath and walk back into school. In shock I take a step back because who should be waiting for me but YORI?! She asks to meet me on the school roof after school I agree and continue my day.

I walk up to the stairs to the roof and I ponder what Yori wants with me. I open the door to see her standing with her back facing her. I say "You asked to meet me?"

"I did" she replies

"what do you want to say?" I ask as I close the door. It locks, only people on the other side of the door can open it. I'll worry about that later.

"I know what you've done Aiko."

"DON'T call me THAT name only SENPAI can call me that!" I scream. She turns around to face me. I take my bag from my back and put it on the ground. I pull the knife out of bag and run towards her swinging the knife at her throat. She dodges. Shit. I move and keep slashing but she grabs my hands but I twist free from her grip. She pulls out a small baseball bat and swings it at me but fails to reach me. I grab her arm and pin her to the ground. She struggles to break free but my body is firmly on her, pinning her down. "I know what you've done to Aia and Ainu." She repeats.

"SHUT UP!" I shout into her ear. She starts to laugh, a demonic one. I look at her and she says " I said to Kaito to meet me here after school so no matter what he's going to see this any second." She continues to laugh. This only makes me more irritated. I plunge the knife into her neck and as soon as I do I hear the doorknob moving. I slowly turn my head to see Kaito standing in the doorway, bag in hand. He drops his bag on the ground in shock and I get up (knife in hand and covered in Yori's blood) and walk over to him to realize that Yori is still laughing. I turn around and stab the knife in her back and she is silent. I stand up, out of breath, and walk towards Kaito. He puts his hand up in front of me and says "Nakamura, what have you done?"

I laugh and say " Aia and Ainu too!" He starts to shake.

" I can't believe I ever liked you. What a fool I was."

I look at him in disbelief "Y-y-you liked me?!"

"Yes. I dropped that umbrella for you because I liked you but what a fool I was! How could you do this?" he shouts.

"I love you Kaito." I say.

"Well I don't love you Nakamura!" he shouts. I can feel hot tears rolling down my face. I turn with my back to him and walk up to the edge of the school building. I turn to face him and say "goodbye my love." I spread my arms and fall back with my eyes closed and I shout to everyone "GOODBYE I'M SORRY" I can see my whole life flash before my eyes but Kaito isn't in any of them. I suppose we weren't destined to be together. I can hear him shouting over the edge of the roof "NAKAMURA I'M SORRY I DID'T MEAN WHAT I SAID I WAS JUST ANGRY AND CONFUSED!"

It's ok you don't have to apologize.

"THE TRUTH IS... I LOVE YOU!" he screams at me

Those sweet words sent me to heaven with a smile on my face and for the first time in years I was finally happy.

"goodbye." And with that everything turns black.
