The star and Cleaner.

The audience cheered as I suspected the show had finished. I wouldn't know, I haven't been to a show of Tords since the day he told me he was going to marry the scum of the theatre.

I had been avoiding him at all costs, sometimes it would be impossible for example if he was practising and I was cleaning. Though I never paid attention to him. It was clear on his face that he was unhappy but I couldn't feel any sympathy for him as much as I tried. I was way too hurt.

I have found comfort in Edd and Matt but there was so much that they could do.

I heard voices echo throughout the hall indicating that people were making their way to their respective places. Some going to party, some to rest, some to work etc. It was time for me to get to work.

I stood by the stage as I watched the last people exiting the auditorium. Snobby people looked at me like trash as they walked by. I just gave them a glare.

I got to work as the last couple left. I couldn't help looking up at the stage. Tord was staring back at me so I quickly turned my head.

I heard heels clicking across stage and then down the steps. I ignored it and carried on my cleaning but a hand on my shoulder interrupted me.

"Hey Tom." The sickeningly sweet voice said.

"Tord." I said without turning back. I just picked up the few cups left behind.

"Can we talk?" I turned around to look at him, a frown on my face.

"I have nothing to say to you."

"Tom I'm sor-"

"Tord!" The shrill voice of Colin called out interrupting our conversation and ultimately ending it.

Colin stormed over, grabbing Tords and dragging him back. I shook my head at him and turned back around.

The thing that hurts most is that I wouldn't care about losing my job if it meant I stayed with Tord, I'd be happy living on the streets. But after Colin had verbally and physically assaulted me, Tord still agreed to that monster. Aware of the consequences.

A part of me wanted to understand the fact he betrayed his late father and go against all his teachings just to get to where he was. He was kicked out because he wanted to be a star. However i was too upset to let that side show.

I walked through the dim hallways slowly, trailing my hands along the wall. I hummed a simple tune trying best not to let tears slip out of my eyes.

I was embraced by Edd when I walked past him. He rubbed my back before carrying on his way.

I silently thanked whatever god there was up in the high heavens for gifting me with such great friends. I don't know what I'd do without them.

I entered my empty room, my roomie must be partying, I sat on my bed staring out of the window then layers down still humming
"But you're just a ghost now"

I fell asleep.
