I stood in front of my mirror, contemplating just ditching this date. I was a bag of nerves. I have no idea why! I was already engaged and had the best fiancé but I couldn't get this feeling out of my head that something huge was going to happen.

"Edd are you ready" a smooth voice from the door called to me. I looked around to see the love of my life smirking "you look dashing my dear."

He walked into the room and up behind me, wrapping his hands around my waist "as do you my good sir."

We both chuckled. This is why I love him.

"Right come on we need to hurry before the places close." He grabbed my hand and practically dragged me out the room. All the while I was laughing at his eagerness.

Once we made it out into the cold brisk air, he grabbed my hand and laced our fingers together.

"Where are we going?" I tried to ask but he just looked down at me and tapped his nose. I huffed and watched as my breathe left my nose and mouth in the cold air.

We kept walking until we got to a building, it didn't look very romantic and had me frowning "Matt-"

"Shhh" he put his finger to his mouth and walked into the building "I'm here to pick up keys for Matt Sonne" he asked a lady at the front desk.

"Do you have proof of identification sir?"

He nodded and handed a piece of paper over. The lady looked through it before getting up and going through a door behind her.

I was confused.

She came back not 2 minutes later with a set of keys "I just need you to sign here Mr Sonne, then it's all yours."

"Thank you." He smiled politely and walked back out. Then he took me in another direction and we ended up in front of a large house. I was confused for a minute and turned to look at Matt but he just smiled and handed me the keys. "Happy Valentine's Day Edd."

I shook my head and gave him an unimpressed face "ha ha. Very funny."

Matt just carried on smiling and took the keys out of my hand. I stood there dumbfounded "c'mon Matt you didn't get me a house."

He just carried on walking to the house. Once he got to the front door he opened it and walked in.
I followed him inside and whistled. Matt watched me. "Took me a while but I finally made enough money to buy this house. I took out a mortgage to have enough to buy it but it was worth it. Do you like it?"

I just stared at him "it's really ours?" He nodded and I smiled, a very wide smile and ran up to him. I jumped up and wrapped my legs around his waist. I kissed his face all over "YES! yes! I love it so much thank you! I love you!"

"I have another surprise too." Matt said after setting me down.

"Another!?" I asked breathlessly "but this is way too much!"

He just walked to a room and opened the door. What ran out made me squeal the unmanliest squeal I had ever done. A small Dalmatian dog ran straight towards me and jumped up my legs.

I picked up the pup and cried into his fur. Matt stepped over and wrapped his arms around us.

"Thank you Matt so much." I sobbed.

He chuckled a bit and replied "I love you too."
