It was sixth period for the whole day and Alice has nearly fallen asleep. All of her classes consisted of an hour just teachers talking about the rules and objectives for the year. She never realized that being a Junior could have so much rules despite being an upperclassman. The syllabuses were very thick, almost giving her a paper cut.

Alice's sixth period class was Home Economics, something she was rather very fond of. She liked sewing and cooking; her mother actually taught her to do sewing and cooking at a young age.

The only thing that she was most cautious of was the fact that Lucas was in the same class period. From the words of Daryl that he shared from the previous period, Lucas was apparently a very cunning guy. Though his looks cover the whole idea of a "nerd", his ways of getting what he wants makes him a very bad person.

After Mrs. Lovro assigned the seats for the year, everyone was talking to their new partners. Coincidentally, Lucas and Alice were partners.

"Hola Alice," he greets, giving her a smile, "Lucas Casky Timberlan. Also know as Lucas, if you may,"

She gives him a small smile in return. "Hi, Lucas. I'm Alice Monroe,"

He chuckles, pushing his glasses up. "So I've heard,"

Alice can't help but think what he meant by that. Has her new status already spread through the entire school? Whether it did or did not, it does not affect her. In her terms of thinking, as long as she has a small group of trusted friends, then that's all that should matter.

"How's it feeling here at Durmont high-school?" he asks sincerely, grabbing her attention again.

She bit her tongue, trying to not give a lot of talk to him, after what Daryl had warned her. "I like the community here,"

His smile grew bigger. "Which community?"

"There's more than one?" Alice asks curiously. His smile turned into a smirk, making Alice regret asking. "W-Wait, I think I know-"

"Fleur and her friends haven't told you yet, haven't they?" Lucas interrupts, "My my, holding back secrets in front of you, how shameful,"

Alice looks down at her desk, not paying attention to what vile expression Lucas makes next.

But she took his last words in thought. Are they really holding something important behind my back? For a selfish reason? For a protecting reason? For what reason? She can't quite pinpoint what the main reason was behind for their secrets.

"They... might have a plausible reason behind it, and I don't mind that," Alice replies, looking at him with a thin grin, "I don't think you should be poking your nose into their business with that anyway, going to be frank with you,"

His smirk faded away as she said that. She noticed that and smiled to herself, knowing that was a perfect attack spot whenever talking to a guy with a lot of pride and cockiness. Alice knew that any guy, especially when talking to a girl, who is so full of himself, hates being talked down on.

Lucas' frown quickly turns back into a smile. "You have strong words m'lady. But I'm afraid you're mistaken,"

"Mistaken for what?" she asks, turning her full attention back to him.
