Ch 18

Thalia's Pov

As we got to the go cart tracks thanks to Ian's directions we saw a run down building with 10 go carts. It honestly looked like drug deals went 9n inside of the building, it was that run down and creepy looking. "Well let's get this done and over with" I said. As me and Annabeth started walking into the building to get to the track a sense of forboding came over me and I felt like we shouldn't be here. "Let's hurry up I don't like this place" Annabeth  said I couldn't have agreed more.

As soon as we entered we started looking for the stupid shield wanting to get out of there as soon as possible. After we searched the whole building we came to the conclusion that the sheild is either on the track or in one of the carts. As we went outside we noticed that the track looked worse then the building it, was less well kept then the building we just came out of. I decided that it would be easier if we split up and it would be safer for Annabeth  to check the go carts while I checked the track. As I was walking across the track I heard Annabeth yell telling me that she found the shield in one off the carts and I rushed off to go meet up with her.
As I got to the cart Annabeth reached in to grab when all of the sudden cables came out of the go cart and grabbed her and pulled her int ok 8t then the cart started up and took off around the track. After that happened all I could think was two things 1 This is why Ares wanted us to get his shield for him the place was Bobby trapped by Hephaestus because Ares took Aphrodite here for a date. 2 Ares is a real sick. As thoughts of punching Ares went through my mind I was trying to catch up to the go cart to help Annabeth the cart kept going faster and I was falling behind so I decided to wait for it to come back and try to stop it when it came back. So I got my shield and spear out and 7sed my shield to stop it and my spear to help me keep the shield up and to take some of the impact. Let's just say that 8t worked and I woke up a half hour later with a worried looking Annabeth looking over me.

Percy's POV

As soon as Thalia and Annabeth left Ares started talking to us and telling us about his suspicions about who took the bolt is and that we need to go to the underworld to get because he thinks that Hades took it instead of Poseidon. As he was talking Ian pipes up and said "drop the Bull S*** Ares I know the Bolt is still here I can sense and sense you walked through the door that sense has intensified and I am also sensing another very powerful weapon/symbol of power here that radiates darkness, which I'm guessing is Lord Hades helm of darkness." Ares just started at Ian and Ares said "this was supposed to be an easy job, have Percy here take his little group to the underworld wear upon seeing Thalia there kills her and then Zeus is angry at both Poseidon and Hades and Hades just being mad, and Poseidon mad at Zeus because he accused him of taking the master bolt then we got the big three having a nice little slug

fest. As he said that both me and Ian got up and said to Ares at the same time "let's go outside and settle this." Then Ares grinned and said "two against one, now that's not very sportsman like is it" Then Ian said "fine then Percy here is going to choose who is going to fight you, me or him. Then the other person who isn't fighting you will be the reffere." Ares looked between me and Ian and nodded. Then the three of us got up and headed outside twords the beach. Not even a minute later Ian stopped and said "hold on a sec I'll be right back." About a minute later he came back with a pizza box and said "we didn't get our pizza and I forgot to pay". Then he opened the box and 9ffered it to both me and Ares. We both took a slice and we started eating and walking to the beach for the battle. As we walked to the beach I tried to decide if I should fight Ares or if Ian should. I just hope that Thalia and Annabeth are alright.

Hello readers sorry it took this long to publish this chapter. I am going to update my newer book and the fablehaven crossover before I do another chapter but the next chapter in this book will definatly be longer hope you guys enjoy!
