Autumn Moon

Chapter one

I started running. As fast as I could, my pup under me.

"Keep up Mica" I told him.

Sirens blaring so loud you could hear them to California and back.

We ran through the woods faster than we ever ran before.

I lived in that hell hole for 6 years; my son for 4. It was time to get out. I didn't know where we were gonna go but we had to get out. I didn't want Mica to grow up that way. Seeing his mommy getting hurt everyday. And eventually it start happening to him. I couldn't live with myself if I aloud that to happen. So I ran.

"GET BACK HERE!!" The man who kept us caged up for so long shouted running after us, turning into his wolf. His men right be hind him.

His wolf was one that would frighten you. The one you hear about in fairytales. He had a mangled tail and ears from fights he had been in, and even missing fur in spots. His teeth where like razor blades; ones that were sure to rip you to shreds if he got ahold of you. And his eyes... oh I will never forget his eyes. Red as blood, murder written inside them. He had a lust to kill; and I knew if he caught us, we would kill us.

So we ran. We ran faster than we had ever ran before. I didn't know where we were going but I knew I need to get Mica out. Find him a better home.

We ran and ran till the sirens got quieter and he was no longer in sight. I slowed my pace and looked down at Mica. He was tired and so was I.

'Why did he stop chasing us?' Mica asked me through our mind link.

I looked around the woods that surrounded us. 'I think we have made it into another territory.'

I started to sniff the air as we trotted along. We are definitely in another territory and someone's not happy about it.

'Mica, I need you to go hide.' I linked to him. He looked up at me worried.

'NOW!' I shouted.

Mica ran be hind a tree and buried himself in some straw.

I kept guard as I smelt the scent get stronger.

The scent was very unpleasant. Musky and onion like. Almost made me want to hurl as it got closer.

"What are you doing in my territory?" A mans voice boomed.

"I'm just passing through." I said.

He made his way through the woods and I finally saw him.

A black wolf, with green eyes. Hate written on his face.

"I will be out of here in a bit. If you could just show me the way?" I asked.

He turned his head in the direction I came from. I hung me head.

"I can't go back there." I said.

This made him angry.

"Your a rouge." He said with a growl, hair standing up on his back.

"No-" and before I could finish he attacked.

I fought and fought knowing my pup was watching. I was not gonna let him see his mommy be weak anymore. Finally I got the upper hand and bit at his neck, badly wounding him and giving me the chance to get Mica and run.

I ran behind the tree and grabbed my son by the scruff of his neck and ran; the angry bloody wolf running after us. We finally made it into another territory before he stopped chancing us, but I kept going. I wanted to get as far away from that place as I could.

I stoped for a second to put Mica down.

'Mommy your bleeding.' He said through our mind link.

'Its okay baby, mommy's Okay. Let's keep going. We don't want anyone find us.' I said, pushing Mica under me and started to run at a reasonable pace.

We traveled through the woods for days. Stopping occasionally for Mica to switch back to his human form and ride on my back. Or to find him some sort of food.

We were going on day seven when I couldn't go any longer. The land was starting to get hilly and the hills were getting bigger and bigger the longer we walked.

"Mommy, are you okay?" Mica asked me laying down on my back as my pace slowed.

"Yes baby, I'm just so tired." I said stoping.
I couldn't go anymore. I was starving and excruciatingly tried.

Mica jumped off my back and I switched back to my human state. Both of us were naked, but it wasn't anything new. We weren't aloud to wear clothes back at that god forsaken place with that man.

"Mommy needs to take a small nap." I said cupping Micas cheek in my hand as I sat on the ground.

He nodded and kissed my cheeks. The last thing I saw was him switch back to his wolf and told me through mind link 'okay mommy, you nap and I will protect you. I love you mommy.'

And with that I let the darkness surround me.
