Micas POV

Mommy's been asleep for a couple days. I check on her to make sure she's still breathing every now and then. I know she's tried. Since I was born I haven't seen her sleep once and all this running she has done the past couple days has put a strain on her and her wolf.

I laid in the crook of my mommy's body were her stomach went in and I laid my head on her neck. I wanted to keep my mommy safe like she had kept me safe for so long from that awful man.

My head popped up from a noise and I sniffed the air. Someone is near. I didn't move but kept my eyes open wide. Looking around. The sent was strong.
Fresh pine maybe.

'Mommy.' I said through mind link and nudged her.

Nothing.

I heard a growl from behind me and the hair on my back stood up. I jumped around and saw two men in there human form walking up to me. I growled and showed my teeth in attempt to frighten them. I don't think it worked, but once they saw me their faces got softer and a worried look over took them.

"Hey little guy." The one with light brown hair said.
"What are you doing out here? Is this your mommy?"

I looked back at my mothers frail body laying asleep on the ground. My face grew softer.

The leaves crunching made me snap my head back to look at them and continue to show my teeth.

"Hey, hey, it's okay." The one with black hair said reaching out his hand. "Your bleeding." He said pointing to my side.

That wasn't my blood.

After he showed me the blood I knew my mother needed help. But how did I know these men were not gonna hurt us.

"Can we please help you." The lighter hair boy asked.

I stopped growling at them knowing mommy needed their help and switched back to human form. I ran over to my mommy with the men following me.

"Where are you guys from?" The black hair boy asked.

I shrugged. "I don't know." I said.

"How old are?" He asked.

I held up 4 fingers.

"Her pules is low. We need to get her to the pack house fast!" The light haired boy sad.

My heart aches for my mommy. The brown hair boy picked her up and I reached for her hand scared.

"Mommy." I said tears rolling out of my eyes.

The black hair boy picked me up and held me close to him.

"It's okay. We are gonna get your mommy some help okay?" He said.

I nodded and laid my head on his shoulder. And they ran as fast as they could to their pack house.
