She slumped to the floor and closed her eyes
Knowing she'd never fall asleepFor when Fear closed her eyes all she saw
Were the nightmares that haunted her dreamsThe rings under her eyes weren't fading
They got deeper every dayShe spent sleepless nights looking up at the ceiling
Praying that the sun would rise as in her bed she layFear was barely holding on
So to the handle of a knife she'd graspSlowly slicing away at skin
And hiding behind her maskShe put on a smile so that no one knew
Just how hard she was fightingTo try and live a half normal life
Instead of being frightenedThen she met him,
and just for a little whileHer pain seemed to cease
And she even managed to smileFor years she hadn't felt that feeling
of pure ecstasyShe could close her eyes and dream all night
Instead of seeing the haunting memoriesNow everyday wasn't a struggle
To just get byFear was actually living
And for once she didn't want to dieHe'd made her life so much better
She'd never again feel that painShe realized she loved him
But she didn't even know his nameShe asked him while they were walking
In a beautiful summer scene"The name's Delusion" he smirked at her
And everything crumbled at her feetShe looked around her, panic stricken
As tears fell from her eyesThen her one spec of hope had faded
Had all of this been a lie?Delusion was no longer standing next to her
And what happened to the summer breeze? She was standing alone in the dark once again
Shards of glass cracking under her feetThe truth was that Fear used to be a normal girl
She did normal things and lived in a normal world
Then one day she looked into his eyes
And found that she'd fallen for his stupid pickup lines
They thought they'd spend their lives together, even get married
But the night they confessed their love for each other
She found him there, hangingEver since then she couldn't bare to close her eyes
Because all she could see was her beloved suspended in the sky
She guessed that she couldn't cope anymore and the only way to survive
Was to imagine that she found a love
To live, she told herself lies
