Snow began to fall harshly, tons and tons of bullets of white flashed past Lukas' eyes as he struggled to get a grip on his feet, let alone even see where he was going. It was getting freezing, he only had his own determination to get up the mountain, however he was starting to doubt he would make it since he hadn't really prepared and was worried about the large fate on his shoulders, could he really do this? Once he makes it to the top and plant the seeds, will he then make the right choices, but what exactly ARE the right choices? He knew the seed was the only hope he has but he doesn't know why, all he knows is that it's some kind of plant. He then starts to question what would happen if the plant were to die? Would everything go down- He slipped. Luckily he didn't fall but for a moment, it seemed that the snow had calmed down, he rubber his eyes to clear his foggy vision and looked up, he noticed he has slipped under a little ledge that was covering him from the snow. He took this opportunity to seek out where he needed to go next.
All he could see was jagged rocks and snow as far as the eye can see, however when he narrowed his eyes, he seemed to notice a little further up was a large ledge that led to the top, there were no paths or no way to climb up in sight, unless he had the right equipment, as he continued looking around he just noticed more snow, snow, rocks, a light and more snow. Wait... Go back... Were his eyes deceiving him?! A light? In this snowy mountain?! Well whatever it was, he was willing to risk it to find out the source of this unknown light, or maybe it could have just been his imagination after all. However he didn't give up and continued towards the light, once again being thrashed by the countless tiny snowballs in his face and that harsh cold air that chills his spine down to the bone. After a while of plowing through the thick sheets, he had finally reached the light source and a nice roof over the entrance that sheltered him, he walked forward a step only to be met with a pair of spears in his face.
"Halt! This door leads to the top of the mountain!" One strong female voice stated.
"If you want to go there, you must go down this path and meet with the queen of flames, she is hotheaded, brave and strong, you will need to prove to her that you are strong enough in order to make it up the mountain, do you accept?"
Lukas was a bit dumbfounded and shocked by this but in hope that she might be able to help him now and probably in the future, he agreed. The door then creaked open as he proceeded to step inside. Each side of the path was filled with a small stream of hot lava, although being faced with the freezing cold from before, it helped him feel warmer and more at ease. He had a plan in order to persuade this queen of flames, however it was slightly nerve wracking for him to meet her due to what the guards had said, he was just a bit anxious about what she had in store for him.
He started walking down the path as the door closed slowly behind him, this did not phase his attention however and moved forward with strength and hope. Still... He couldn't help but wonder what had happened to his brother, he was worried about what chaos that creature could be causing while he was doing this...
A world of darkness...
Darkness and only cries of suffering and torture...
Derick's power only grew stronger thanks to all these feelings, sadness, torment, grief, anger and much... much more. Derick did not care what he did anymore, he did not have the ability to care, he had lost complete control of himself and his emotions. His hate only got stronger... Hate towards his brother... No it was not his brother anymore, he did not choose to take the power as soon as it was presented to him, he however was not disappointed.
He was happy, using his powers for what he believed what was right, creating armies of thousands, only exposing a special few strong forces to the light and making sure they are ready for when the time is right. That's when he stumbled upon something, a young boy with pure snow white hair, eyes as green as an emerald and.... A smile.. A smile so sinister and dark, that it made Derick feel overjoyed. Derick offered a tiny bit of his power to this young boy, in exchange that he gives him the objects that he needs to make the strongest members of his army... The deal was made with the boys ever so creepy smile.
"But there is however one catch I didn't mention... You need to find yourself a wife... I don't care what you do with her or who she is, the deals already been made..." The boy then disappears without a trace, filling Derick with hatred and more importantly disgust... He wish he didn't make that agreement however, he had what he needed. He knee that in order to make them stronger, he needed to keep them in the darkness for a long enough period so that they would be so disgusted by the light, that they would kill anyone in their way, the plan was perfect for him, he thought that everything would work out fine and he would get the victory he needed... He just needed enough time.
A raging fire burned as the lava beneath the rocks swayed in a back and forth motion, the sudden drastic change in temperature from outside to inside soon hit Lukas like a brick wall, he thought it was fine, but after everything that had happened all he could see was the room spinning as he stumbled forward trying to stand up, but all his legs could do was shake as he held his head in pain. All that could be heard was laughter... Laughter of the past... He remembered the days of when him and brother were young and free- all those happy memories were put to a sudden stop as all his vision turned into darkness as a loud thud echoed around the cave, soon followed by distant unclear voices as he drifted off into a deep coma.
"This is bad your highness, wasn't this supposed to be the saviour? He did enter the door after all, didn't he?!" A proud yet slightly aggravated voice yelled.
"Silence you idiot! Do you know nothing?! He is a mortal, of course he wouldn't make it this far without a break, now look at him! The nerve! I guess I'll let him rest... But only because he looks tired! Get the doctor to immediately treat his wound and make sure he's fit enough to continue..." Relied a sweet yet slightly flustered kind of voice, possibly the type you might find in anime or manga. But no doubt about it, she was the queen of the fire realm, at least, that's what her father and relatives want her to be, however she doesn't want to be the queen, she wants to be able to be free and complete her overall goal which she kept to herself. She once brought it up once however, but her request wasn't taken as she had more important duties to take care of ever since the king, also known as her father, had died.
She watched from a distance as the doctor tended to their guest, wondering about why he was chosen and if they will be ok if he ever made it to the top of the mountain, he still has one big trail ahead of him but she hopes deeply inside her heart, that he will make it and the tree will grow, just like how the tales have told her and that her dream would be met and she could live freely, without the burden of her whole kingdom on her shoulders.
